  1. Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name: Longlegg ============== TRIP OVERVIEW Thought you might enjoy this photo. I took Michael Ringer, a artist friend of mine, perch fishing last week on the St Lawrence. Next thing I know he has an article in the Thousand Island Sun claiming I caught a new world record perch. 4. I only had one hit when I fished last week also and caught a brown near Sandy Creek. This is the first year I've fished this early since the warm water discharge was placed off limits. What did you find for water temperature? Last week it was mostly 36-37 degrees but 38.5 near Sandy. I'll likely trey again this week but wee need some warmer water!
  5. Nice fish . I'm itching to get out again this week myself. Need to find a bit warmer less clear water then my last outing. Only did one brown.
  6. Thanks for the report. It's always great to get back on the water in the spring knowing that the fishing is only going to heat up.
  7. Yep, it's ice free at least from launch to mouth and even up to Rte. 3 bridge.

  9. I just purchased a Lowrance HDS5 Fishfinder+GPS Chartplotter. It came with Enhanced US Basemaps but it can take take Navionics Platinum Plus, Platinum and Platinum Hot Maps with 3D mapping featuring Urboview. Also supports all Lowance high detail mapping and charts on memory cards includign ProMaps, Fishing Hot Spots PRO, NauticPath and Map create Usa Series 7. The definition on local lakes is ok but I need better definition for the St. Lawrence River, Niagara River and Lake Ontario. I also fish the Bay of quinte in Ontario. Any suggestions on what map would be best to purchase?
  10. It was starting to color up and most likely with the rain will be more so.
