  1. Had them Gobbling on the roost. After fly down toms were strutting at 75 yards. Two hens came to 30 but Tom eventually moved off. Raining so I made a move to my pop up and saw the flock about 200 yards off. They eventually moved off so I made a couple blind adjustments for tomorrow. A Good morning as I got to watch a great show and even saw 6 deer. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  2. Scouted this morning. Had a couple gobbling in roost. Backed out and observed from a distance. 8 hens, a Jake and a tom flew out into the field. I snuck off and never did see the noisy gobblers. Will be there tomorrow! It figures they're in a field without a pop up blind so looks like I may get wet.[emoji3] Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  3. Fished south of Stony this morning. Steady pick off boards and riggers. Spoons and sticks Chartreuse/ silver early, black/ silver later in the morning. Boated 16 Browns, 2 lakers and released a nice walleye and a small Atlantic. 7 -12 fow early and 14 -20 later. Riggers set at 7 feet. Another boat caught a nice King! 5. We caught 4 nice eyes we released in two trips this week while fishing Browns in the Henderson area. All were caught on spoons in 7-18 fow. We caught some numerous beautiful Browns and a couple lakers off boards and riggers on spoons and stick baits but was surprised by the walleyes. Trolling speed was 1.8- 2.2. Probably should target them where we hit them but will be at Bay Of Quinte with buddies for the opener. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  8. I have 4 Offshore or12 which work great. Saw a deal for Cabela's brand and picked up a pair for under $10! They have a different release which doesn't work great in extreme cold but can easily be switched out. Seem to run comparable to the Offshore and I believe are a great deal! Not sure what the price on them is now. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  9. Not unusually to get many females but generally males mixed in. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  10. Going to set up a couple blinds today. Haven't scouted yet but I've hunted the farm for many years so roosts and strut areas are known. Will scout closer to opener as birds are still moving and groups breaking up. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  11. Not plump. No eggs and empty red sacks inside. No males found at all. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  18. After returning from Florida I wanted to try the ice fishing before season uended. Caught two nice ones on a local lake yesterday. 9.7 and 12.2 lbs. the bigger fish hit just as I was packing up. Two flags went up and after landing the fish I checked the second tipup and something seemed odd. Turns out she hit both baits and had a circle hook in opposite sides of her mouth! 22. No better for Northern zone. I believe Oct.5-27 and Nov.2-Dec.8. Glad I can hunt Canada! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  23. Back in the 70's we'd get 20 flushes some days. My roommates and I shot 200 grouse one year! 4 of us hunting with 3 dogs. Now I seldom see any. Don't believe I could bust the brush and hunt hard like we did back then but we sure had fun. My favorite game bird. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
