  1. Got to spend the morning in the field with my son.[emoji3] Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  2. Canada duck opens Saturday but I'm hoping for a goose hunt instead. Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
  3. Friend called from near OGDENSBURG and said he saw some large flocks moving this evening. Perhaps we will get an early season hunt in after all. Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
  4. Fished the river this morning and only saw 1 small group of birds. I did hear a couple volleys when I was cleaning the fish but not much activity. Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
  5. Still not seeing any numbers in the fields I have always seen them or hunted and also not on ponds they always have been on. Also not seeing many birds moving off the river or ponds. Seems very different this year in my area. Took a ride up around Hammond and checked out Chippewa and Goose Bay and didn't see much there this afternoon. Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
  6. I haven't found birds to hunt yet. Seems like resident numbers here have dropped. My brother in laws farm has always held good numbers of geese and there were over 300 there the week before season but they have disappeared. Hopefully the cooler rainy weather will get some birds moving. If not perhaps we will get some movement the last week of season as often happens. Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
  7. I may have created a monster. My wife caught her limit in 17 minutes! What a great 2 hours of fishing.
  8. Sent old photo again by mistake.
  9. Fished very early yesterday morning. Surface temp was 73. Once I found them had a limit of nice fish in 20 minutes. All over 24". Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  10. I agree with Roughrider IV. Deep water shoals 30-50fow running boards and deep-divers. Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
  11. Hit them solo this morning. All around 24". Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  12. Another successful outing this time with Mr Walleye. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  13. Took the girls last night and caught 5 in 45 minutes. The last one took another hour. Big one weighed 9.9 lbs. this morning so was probably 10 when it was caught. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  14. Crossed paths with ProfT at 4:00 this morning. I was on my way in and he was headed out. It was a beautiful full moon night and we each limited out. I ended my night with a solo double. Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
  15. Limit again last night! Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
  16. JSfish, Fisheries told me that since walleyes spawn in April the gobies haven't moved into the shallows thus there spawning isn't affected. Since bass spawn much later in the year the gobies have moved into the shallows by then and thus are easy prey. I certainly agree with you on bass number and size, much different than in 20-40 years ago. Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
  17. After not having been in my boat for seven weeks my shoulder allowed me to get out with a friend last night. Fortunately we had a nice night. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  18. Was able to get my two grandkids on a dock to catch sunfish. Four year old caught about 15 and two year old about 8. Kept them interested about 10 minutes but they had fun and did well. I kept and cleaned the 5 largest and fried them up with some walleye. The kids love grampy's fish! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  19. Feel your pain! We will get through it. Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  20. Nice job Justin. I'm having issues with a pinched nerve and haven't had my boat in the water in 6 weeks! Coincidentally my buddy Prof T has a pinched nerve in his shoulder also. Perhaps we have been dragging those weights for to long. Not fun! Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
  21. Nice to see the river picking up. Unfortunately I haven't been out but I think my shoulder is slowly healing. Those drum do tug. I catch more trolling for eyes on the lake than in the river. Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
  22. Great video! I've jigged them in Finger Lakes but never tried it in Ontario. Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
  23. Sound like you had a great week! Still dealing with a pinched nerve in my shoulder and haven't been in my boat in nearly 3 weeks. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  24. Love the video. Hope the mate got a great tip as he earned it! Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
  25. Everyone knows the bass are bigger with rise in the gobie population but having fished the river since the mid seventies I know the numbers in the SLR have dropped significantly and the fisheries biologists concur. Since tournament fishing is a size not a numbers game their totals weights are still good and likely better than pre gobie time. Just delay the opener a week or two to help protect this great resource for future generations. Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
