  1. Thank god for this site. I really appreciate all the input and help
  2. Ha thanks pap. This shyt of setting up new boat is for the birds. Can’t wait to be done
  3. Not really. If i invested in my more in th initial setup . I am completely off grid. I have generator wired in so when I get low in power I fire it up. The problem is summer time is free. Winter time with short days I have to run propane generator quite a bit. If you figure it out costs about the same. But I’m 2 miles from neighbors and have 100 acres borders by state land. It was where I wanted to be
  4. Damn where were you 2 days ago. Just ordered 2 new ones
  5. I am assuming that if lead from motor goes to one battery. Batteries are hooked together so charge should flow to both of them rite?
  6. first it’s a 29 series battery. Damn fumble fingers. My thought is the only time I’m going to charge both batteries is when big engine is running. When trolling I can isolate to one battery. Still have main battery isolated to start big motor. Big motor is high output evinrude. It has 50 watts just for charging so that should charge both fine. I am kind of new at this so correct me please if I’m wrong!!!
  7. I gotta believe that would work. My whole house is solar powered. I am thinking one of the smaller setups because I’m running a 19 ft. Boat and don’t have that much room
  8. Just ordered perco switch and picked up biggest interstate battery I could get. It’s a 19 series. If I put switch in both won’t maine motor charge both batteries
  9. I see guys have talked about charging batteries with a solar panel rather than a kicker. It looks like a panel is putting out more than a kicker at idle. Any experience with this?
  10. Ok I was wondering if you could switch while running. Thanks for input.
  11. Talked to dealer today. I guess I’m going with biggest deep cycle and an isolator. He recommends that route.
  12. I am looking for 2 24 in mounting tracks and 2 12 inch tracks
  13. I was looking at them in bass pro. My thought was to hook riggers cb, xd and graph to one battery along with kicker. Biggest deep cycle battery I can get and charge it everytime before fishing. That way main battery for starting isn’t even in the equation. Buddy told me the new evinrude is real voltage sensitive. This way I am keeping away from that issue. Think it will work?
  14. Guys been working on my new boat rigging it. I see that it only has one battery in it . My plan is to put kicker with charge system on it . I am going to be running elec riggers graph marine radio, and fish hawk Xd. Should I add another battery to this setup and can I just wire it to other battery. The main motor is 115 etech.
  15. I think I am going to mount riggers solid. Then do rod holders in the tracks. Last thing I want to do is see rigger go deep six. Could make for a bad day!!!
  16. So fishy you don’t think any issues with riggers mounted on tracks

  21. I doubt it is a salt water design . 8 horse Yamaha high thrust.
  22. Guy said it’s 25 in shaft. Im using adjustable kicker bracket. Do think that still be an issue?
  23. I got a chance to pick up a kicker that was on a sailboat in salt water. Motor looks real clean. The guy says low hours yay or nay guys??. Yamaha 8 horse for 800.
