I did have problems with it loosening. But now I took it a part it looks to have a set screw off to the side. I’m gonna see tommorow if I can get apart more tomorrow. Getting ready rig my new boat. I’m trying to cut corners and save where I can. I have 3 of these holders. Might not be worth fighting with them though
2007 162 angler smokercraft. 50 horse merc 2 stroke, trolling plate, new tires on trailer last year. Garmin 7 Stryker graph . 2 older big Jon handcrancks. 1 older mag 10 electric. Since I’ve owned boat always stored under carport. Never left in water. I can fish seven rods without issues. I am keeping planer mast either way. Asking 6 rigged or 5500 with no gear. I am in central Ny 518 area code. I put the muffs on it today and it fired rite up. Ready for spring Browns.
I am probably going to list my 16 ft smokercraft angler 162 in the next week or so. 2007, 50 merc trolling plate. Rigged or unrigged. 55 or $6500. 3 older riggers. 1 10a,2 older big Jon handcrancks.518 area code
Anybody running gimbal mounts for riggers? The boat I am looking at has rod holders in the corners. Downrigger mounting is limited so I was wondering on opinions of gimbal mounts
thanks
Todd thanks for the reply. I think my original question was asked wrong. I probably only gonna hit Ontario a few times a year. Browns and maybe Lakers 100 ft of water, and kings in the fall. The rest of the time would be Lake George and smaller lakes. I am looking at this design compared to a Lund 1875 design. Cuddy setup won’t really fit for me as this will be part time family boat
Guys I’m looking at new 18 ft wellcraft CC. What are your thoughts on this design for fishing on lake O. This is a big investment for me to make and any input would be appreciated. It is the 182 fisherman platform.
