Went to lewis point all day today and finished a limit of eyes by 3:30. Got a 9" perch and a 19" eye by 8:30, then a nice white around 10am. Had a ton of lookers till 2:30 when a school of small eyes came through and I tossed back at least a half dozen 7" eyes. Then got a 17 and 15" eye back to back. Over all a nice day to be out. Gecko, I bet they can still be found in deeper water since the lake is still relatively warm and the shore night bite is really just beginning. Tried Sundays catch yesterday for lunch.... The burbot was very good! Better than the pickeral.... but more like lobster meat than walleye. Only snapped the first pic as you took the walleyes out of the live well and put them in the cooler. The smallies are just a memory cause I didn't get any pics of them.... but I probably got about 8 lbs of boneless fillets off them!!! Spent the weekend with my step kid down near lansing and fished out of Meyers. I don't get down there nearly enough so I gotta share some pics.
