We only killed a buck and 2 doe on our property when we usually kill 5-7 and let some walk.... so I got a chance to hunt a friends property tomorrow where he's been letting deer walk this season, and said he's got a tag or two if I see something..... I'm going to my sunday spot 2 more times, and behind my house when I can, but going somewhere new feels like opening day for me, even though the temps are warm, and the deer have been pressured..... where the heck is the snow..lol Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

It's been tough to sit without many sightings here, temps are climbing for the weekend... but I can't give up till the 22nd cause deer season only comes once a year!! I see some does and a small buck on my cameras but only at night. They'll make a mistake one of these days! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Btw....when I found him he was bedded feet from a swamp.... I hit him in the neck, he jumped in the swamp and was trying to swim and flop away... so I put one behind his head and the 30 30 came out his right eye nearly perfect. He was one tough dude. I haven't taken a pic yet but his front toe was stunted or cut off and it healed wierd.... one tough buck Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

This is my buck for the reg. Season.... thought he was I nice one, just took one look and saw decent antlers and aimed for the shoulder.... it was a little disappointment when I walked up to him, but yea can't eat antlers.... but he lost 2 battles, I'm hoping to see the one that broke it, ....during late muzzy!! Just pondered my posts....should there be a radius for these high density suburban areas to get extra tags. And the agricultural just gets 2, because there are way fewer car deer accidents in my neck of the woods than would say a village or city area?? Just did a screenshot of my inlaws land. They gave us 2 acres to put a double wide on 5 years ago, so this my backyard. I have only saved way point on left side awhile ago, going out to the back field. They own a corner of that pond, there is an aces road that hooks around that point to get to back field. Thats all swamp for almost 2 miles. They got lots of places to hide out here. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

I hear yea about the suburbs.... they give out 7f tags (here) like candy because we have all of syracuse, auburn, and skaneatlas.... those areas hold alot of deer. They're allowing night hunting with crossbows in Fayetteville for instance. So all the rednecks in my neighborhood get extra 7f tags....when the dec is trying to focus those extras for higher density areas. Guys pushed 200 acres right down the road from me and only shot one small buck. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Got a buddy in 8f near port byron that picks and chooses. He said he could've tagged out opening weekend, like his son did. But he got a nice 8 on friday, and said he's been eyeing some big does... he really rubs it in, but I know his track record only big deer with a smoke pole every time. And here about 8 miles east of him it's tough going for 3 of us on this property only killing 3 deer and I got 2 of them. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

That's great mach, I also do my own sausage. I buy pork butt, and typically do 20lb hot, 20 sweet and 10 breakfast. I work second shift getting out of work at 11 if there is a fresh kill on the way home I will grab it, even if I can only get the front shoulders the rest will get piled for yote bait. I admire your ambition....way to go man Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
