The outfit running the operation on Seneca lake owns the old coal fired power plant on Cayuga and will start mining on Cayuga if they aren’t stopped. I don’t know if that is good or bad but I do know it will impact the lake.
If the water is high in the spring they can get over the barrier in Ithaca also. Most years it works well. Unless there hasn’t been a high water spring they still need to apply lampriside every three to five years.
Sounds like there was some confusion on the live leader board, but at closer examination all fish were properly identified. Although I think mine must’ve been weighed wrong. Lol . I for one would like to thank all the volunteers even if they are not professional experts. I think the derby was a lot of fun and a great success.
