coleman lantern parts, and silver solder, pipe, and fittings. My great uncle custom made them to fit the boat to be used on.
made them at our cottage in Branchport.
Watch for corrosion with sheet metal screws. Closed shank stainless or aluminum pop rivets are good. Don't do over size holes, or wrong grip range.

5 little gold hooks on a thread off a tip section of a flyrod with spitshot on the bottom. jig it off a dock in about 5-6ft of water during the day, or under your light at nite. you catch enough, but a net under them after they chase the hooks get a lot. My uncle had a small deep horse trough with a small pump bringing water from the lake 5ft down to airerat, and keep a good flow going. On the dock in a bin with the over flow running into the lake. disguised the thing to be a cute seat to keep Grandmother happy!
Dick B. PS. Don't use city water ice in your bait bucket!
what is a good reel for 6-8lb test spinning for steelies or browns for the tributarys ?
Mine worked good, until it sounded like a old ford with a bad rod. then a bright Steelie skipped out of sight and
all i had left was a reel with stripped gears.
new reel suggestions? Mitchel, schomino? diawa? okuma? don't even know the spelling.
I watched 5 dogs chase a 4 point to exhaustion and then trap the deer and ripped his genitals off. The deer got away just to be trapped in the middle of a stream. I drove the dogs off with rocks . I had called the CO, and he showed up and told me these dogs had killed three deer he knew of. This was in a town park! The Owners were warned.the pack came by chasing a doe and he
shot 2. These " pets" away from there family were vicious killers.
went out in the afternoon and picked a couple of small land locks and a small laker. the wind was blowing pretty good, so I decided to hand pull copper with an old phulger for lakers. Like jigging but you are covering water. I was down 95 ft and on bottom and got a hit. pulled it up and had a smalie just bigger than the lure! put down and got another smalie at 95 ft! Went back in to find the motor stuck in fwd. smalies sure fight!
Dick B.
I Always go back to the original silver & brass. The color tape & nail polish just reduce the flash and contrast. At depth what else
can be seen as the light filters down? The movement and action caused by the flexablilty and liteness of the lure makes the differance. This is my experance on the fingerlakes. lake O fish wad them up, and spit them out.
I lost 6 suttons today and need to find some more! any one who wants to sell some PM me and let me Know
Thanks. Dick
Went out at 12:00 from clute, in my 14ft little boat. I can run run 2 rods at best on a calm day, and could only try one today.
got 1 brown down 45 over 90ft, two small landlocks, and one small laker. back in at 2:30. had two good fish on but could not do anything with the waves. Would love to join the smack down, but 9 rod spreads? And I thought I gave the Seneca stroller fits!
Good luck you guys lower end is getting better.
