Langs outboards in north tonawanda is good. I just got my boat back from him. He is not real busy and could probly get you right in. For my 50 hp he charged me 200 for a carb rebuild, tune up, changed gear lube and checked out my fuel tank.

The primer bulb needs to be bigger. The rise is 2 times that of the small tank and didn't have enough suction to draw it up the tube. I figured id post the fix so if anyone else has this problem it might help them

yeah i was looking threw my flies and realized i had 7 tubes empty and only 1 green fly. Hopefully i can get them wet this weekend, im going out to oswego with my brother inlaw but i think we are staying in shallow to run stick baits for browns. He wanted to get out early and do a test run in my new boat before the begining of may for the LOC tournament.
I had some carburator problems 3 weeks ago and limped back in on the trolling motor in the lower niagara. 2 weeks ago i put an inline fuel filter and also a water separator. I noticed it doesnt prime like it used to. When id squeeze the primer bulb it would be firm, now it doesnt firm up and seems like it doesnt prime the engine. My question is the loss of fuel pressure normal or and i going to have to buy a new fuel line and scrap the filters? I cheecked for any leaks and it didnt seem that anything was leaking.
Ill have to check that when I get home. What I'm talking about are lead weights look like a little 3 inch football with 2 wires that your line goes through and a spring like loop that pinches your line in place and when you get a bit it will slide down to your lure

is anyone using sliding weights off their boards ? gibbs or peets? I have a 3 oz and a few 6 oz weights but i want some 1,2 and 4 ouncers. Does anyone know where i can buy these? I just bought the last of the smallest ones at rainbow sports in north tonawanda. I know i can use other kinds of weights but these are real nice to use.
Im going to peel off the old vinyl stickers from when i bought the boat and re-name it. Where can I have some custum vinyl stickers made that wont fall off after a few trips out. Im not looking for anything too fancy. I really dont care for the name now (bass Ackwards -with a shark jumping) I live near buffalo if anyone knows a place nearby id appreciate it.
lol yeah a vs 380 right there in my face. I was busy checking out the picture and i didnt see anything else. Have you ever used it off a boat? im thinking about getting a marcum camera and using on the ice and off my boat while drift fishing.
i just bought an igloo 162 quart marine cooler for 85 dollars at west marin today but they have some that are a little smaller for 79.00 I bought the last 162 quart cooler they were left over from the boat show they said. this was the store in buffalo on ontario street.
Im putting in a new radio and antenna in my boat tomorrow and i am going to go in the lower river sunday and want to test it out. What channels do you fisherman monitor? I am under the assumption that boaters and the coast guard monitor channel 16 and 9. I know on a cb radio channel 9 is for emergency but nobody monitors it wondering is it the same for the coast guard? and plus i dont want to be broadcasting on an emergency channel and catch hell for it. I bought a cobra f55 vhf radio with a 4400 series shakespear antenna. the man at the store with the antenna I could reach 75 to 80 miles. It seemed a bit far but i dont know. This radio can also be hooked up to a gps and when hooked up i get this number to ID me and the boat and send my location to the coast guard in an emergency at the push of a button. What kind of gps can i use to hook up to the radio? Where can i buy one and how much do they run? I read somewhere that the coast guards system for this push button emergeny feature isnt up and running yet and you stil have to radio it in with a mayday or pan sort of distress call. Is there any truth to this or an old article i read. I fish niagara county for the most part. When fishing the lower river do you guys monitor your radio or keep it off?
phase separation does just happen over night. It happens over extended period of time. If you trailer your boat it will mix it back up or if it is docked in a slip the waves will keep it mixed.
I see the erie canal coming through north tonawanda is almost completely free of ice so is ellicott creek. How much longer for chataqua? At this rate i dont think it will be long i wanted to get 1 more trip out of this season but wont be able to get out untill next weekend.
