ANYONE WANNA SEE A "SENECA CHALLENGE"?
lakebound88 replied to lakebound88's topic in Finger Lakes Discussion
You did just what everyone else had to do. It was a few minute canal ride. Nobody can find observers and for boats that are big enough for two maybe three, an observer is not gonna happen, with that said it counts out like five boats already... Never can make anyone happy.. This year will have a tournament committee. If not, it will be a no go and waste of time. I tried to bring good guys together for good fun. But sometimes there is one in every crowd... More than likely its the ducer... They told me that same stuff... Good luck. I loved the unit too, just was unhappy with the outcome... A friends unit just went as well three yrs old. They told him it was time for a new unit because it was old... Ick, uck, tuck. [ Post made via Android ]

Good job. I recommend a okuma clarion reel for Coppers... The gear ratio is awesome and less pumping of that rod makes for less of a chance of yanking that hook around too much [ Post made via Android ] -

YEa, and besides Gill, Nothing against you but you can never make everyone happy! If the DEC felt our lake was over fished by a whole 13 boats... They wouldnt be raising the Laker creel limit to five!! But this even was great and a great turnout. Can not wait till next years!! Nick -
FURUNO.... Just Saying.. I currently have a LOWRANCE unit, lcx20... It is okay, but has a hard time showing the arcs like I want it too. Spoke with Lowrance, they figure its a transducer issue. I will be saving the lowrance for the gps and backup finder, but purchasing a FURUNO this winter.. Nick

Hey guys, if you need a parts reel or have a parts reel and wanna fix this one. This is for you. The reel was Brand NEW this season but the Level wind arm came off.. The reel is no good to me and I lost the receipt to send it back to OKUMA so there was nothing they could do for me. I will let it go for 20 bucks shipped.. Nick

He went scottys once, then sold them to me... I'm glad I went scotty! Although my spools are warped.. gotta get new ones! [ Post made via Android ] -
Went through the same issue with mine. Sent the unit back to HB and they told me it was my wiring. NO IT WAS NOT! They sent a new transducer and I loved my unit again. Two weeks later. JUNK. I contacted HB again, they told me their transducers dont go bad! I said I am telling you, it is weak and not working properly. They did nothing for me! NOTHING. Bought the unit brand new from them. I sold the unit on LOU for less than half what I paid. I get a email about two months after asking If I still had the unit because of a recall on the transducers... POOR customer service IMHO. I have nothing against them but I will never do business with again. Sorry for venting. I loved the unit when it worked. The colors, the accuracy.. But It all came down to the support I deserved and did not get.. Nick

Hemlock hemlock and canadice browns/rainbows
lakebound88 replied to zackblain's topic in Finger Lakes Discussion
Well when it comes to bows and browns on other bodies of water .... It's almost the same but each body fishes different.. Bows I run faster speeds. Orange andvpurple spoons. Stretch your leads a bit more and fish stealthy running 2.0-2.5 mph and don't be afraid to zig sag they will hit that spoon when its going over 3 mph. Fish temps thermo 55-56 degrees. Browns fish a bit slower 1.5-2.0 fish darker spoons. A great producer is the frogs, and my favorite glow alwive by Michigan stinger. Fish these where the thermo meets bottom of the lake, usually 45-70. Fow sometimes deeper. This is what works for me. A nice trick with browns is too stack a fixed Cheater a few feet above your main release. Good luck. Nick [ Post made via Android ] -
