Hey guys, Just a reminder that canal speeds are set in place for a reason. When the sign says no wake or a posted speed. FOLLOW IT. Whether there be boats in the water or not. Friday, a 21 pursuit with a red top and penn hand crank downriggers decided they wanted to come down through the canal on plane. While everyone yelled to slow down, they mouth back and actually sped up. I am not sure if they realize the damage and potential for hurting someone who may be stepping onto their dock or boat or even just relaxing inside. We know this boat fishes the south end of Seneca weekly. Trailers in. If anyone sees this boat. Please get me their registration numbers. We will be turning them in. Authorities have been contacted. This is not going to be taken lightly. I hate to be the guy to bring this up, but it has to be done. Please remember, its not just you on the water, share it safely. I would hate to see someone face serious charges for severely hurting someone. There are plenty of kids in our marina.

Well, either someone on here might want it. Moving and getting rid of a lot of stuff I have laying around. I have a King 1060B Paper graph fish finder. Also have the transducer with the speed wheel on it. Looks in good shape. Last I knew it worked. If anyone is looking for a gem like this... make an offer. nick

Well I can tell ya we hit the water sunday, Trolled from the chute, to Glenora, accross to Peach Orchard, and back down. Didn't even take a shot. Tried everything. From Watkins to as far north as you can see the water is MUD and DEBRIS... Let's hope the lake sets up, and sets up fast. Memorial day will be here fast! Nick

Thanks Dave. Mower, I agree! I spoke with this guy on the phone about his DONATIONS. I asked him how he got into CHARTERING. He stated that he was not a captain. Was just looking to make a buck, just like the rest of us. But, when someone like that does somethign like this, It will make things worse for ALL of us in the future. Mower Thanks.

I'm all for making an extra buck to afford the water... to get there, I've got what feels like thousands wrapped up in my licensing, insurance, surveys, safety equipment, tests ... so on.... this just frustrates me a bit.... there's a guy or two on Seneca that are doing this... seems like it, but I can't prove it. Billy V Cayuga Lake shakedown report - April 29, 2012
lakebound88 replied to Billy V's topic in Finger Lakes Discussion
Glad youre in Bill! You did better than we did. We have way too much bait sitting in the south end. The bite lasts for twenty minutes it seems. Fish are full fast! We caught sawbellies on our spoons...Must be dense!! -
worth a shot, just narrow through the simple things. A buddy of mine had his set in the water last year, and forgot to remove the tape off all of his thru-hulls. Had to pull each hose off and poke holes in them till the water was warm enough to go under and remove by hand.
-
Did they tape the thru-hull before winter? [ Post made via Android ]

I'm in my slip since March 18. I drain the washdown hose. Leave it off. I forgot to drain the nozzle a few weeks ago. It split. But I drain it every week and haven't had an issue since. I'll be sleeping on my rig tonight!!! Heated blanket will be on a max!!! [ Post made via Android ]

As stated above. I have a subtroll.. works fine. I leave the beads off just because I like it that way. Good luck.

We have been getting plenty of fish with those buggers on there. Only a few are the big boys. Other than that, all are 3-5 inches. Most popular fish with them are the browns over here. Some of the bigger salmon have one or two. the one day we pulled three off a brown. Luckily, they were freshly attached. KILL'EM ALL!!!

it could just be something simple/dumb. I overlooked mine a couple years ago. The stone catcher was plugged. Then this year, when we had the freeze. I replaced a hose nozzle because it split. Then, the pump wouldnt work!!!!! Then, I realized, I never opened the nozzle
