  1. Well, We fished Seneca, of course.. We ran North Before Dawn saturday, to beat the winds and weeds. Got to my honey hole and set up, Found perfect temps for bows. No sooner than we set up it was game on with the Bows on stinger spoons. I hit 4 bows in 20 minutes. Lost one that looked over 5 lbs right at the back of the boat. He spend more time out of the water than he did in, when he decide to launch eye level with us, is when he spit the hook. Shortly after him, we hit another that we kept for the box. It put us on the board for sat, and all day sunday til the last hour. If there was a 6th, we had it! However i would of made someone else get my check. Embarassing. We switched over to laker gear after the bite died..Hit many nice average lakers, with a few shy of 8. Weighedi n 3 lakers and they were on the board til sunday morning..Biggest was 7.8.. One accomplishment is our GRAND SLAM Saturday... That made us pretty stoked. Sunday, we decided to run north again, to try the same approach, however the winds from saturday changed it up a bit. The temps were gone. 35 foot down was now 67 degrees and 60 foot was 55 degrees. I had trouble keeping with the temps, there was sudden 15 or so degree changes...Our lake still hasnt set up like Cayuga has. We hit many fish a few good salmon and lakers... heres a shot from the weekend.... Good Job Dinghy and Brad on the big win!! 2 timers!!
  2. Actually, it was up to the marina to choose if they wanted to sell non ethanol or not originally. Our marina (Frog Hollow) On seneca lake just switched back to non ethanol at 4.79 a gallon....But hey I'll take it!!!!
  3. There is one on Seneca Lake, North of watkins Glen on the east side for sale. With the mercury Saltwater outboard.
  4. AAAHHH, The Famous "walk away" handle
  5. Grey beard. Are these the commercial type ones? If so, I will take them.
  6. If he doesnt take them, I will!!
  7. It can work, but very hard in the summer, and 50 degrees, can even be too warm. Most of us, are still catching lake trout down at the 39-45 degree water mark blow the thermoclines.. Good Luck and Hope to see ya on the board! But Ice alone and less handling of the fish will help preserve it.
  8. good report! glad you found some fish!! We were out Saturday as well with a family of 4. Fished from peach orchard to almost severne and came back south and found Some lakers and salmon. Remember where you found those beauties. They wil be there red cross!!
  9. Nice bow! Youre not an idiot! The guys working out weighstations every year tend to be just kidding fellas. congrats!!
  10. ya, same issue ed.. irritating isnt it? Get rid of the birds....Humminbird said to me that their transducers DO NOT GO BAD!! Then they announce a bad batch for the 2010 season? PLEASE! No matter how many times they recieve a head unit, its not the issue. Awesome picture on birds, but the sonar capabillities stink.. Good luck..

  15. Mark, 7.29 LT 7.16 LT 6.1 LT 4.73 LT 4.40 LT I had a good weekend, but because i had 5 fish recorded i worry too much and get them back in the water, released a few that pushed 10 pounds sunday...O well!! Lost a big one too on sunday, Assume it was a Bow never saw it, but thats what the rig was targeting.. Get her next time!! red cross weekend!! Senecas gonna dominate again, sucks only a few of us troll seneca for it..
  16. next year i will make sure i have them for Ontario!! Slippin on the big pond next season!!
  17. ya, i almost bought osme of them!! its a good idea for kings but i think a bit unecessary for lakers.. Ill just back the drag off a click or two..
  18. IDK why i SAID 2 hahahaha ROFL!! Ray, No they werent tight at all...thats just it...couldnt figure out why, im gonna guess the wire line got caught in the roller on the rod, seems to happen once in a while on the Okuma Wire Line Specials(blue diamond series).... Those Tekotas are butter smooth, and i check the drag every time..hmmm
  19. Great report, i would love to see a FLX laker like that...fish is as old as me almost..
  20. Hey guys, Went on Seneca saturday and sunday. Wasnt long after we set the first line, we hit fish. Trolled north With constant action all morning. Did some nice/average fish. Almost Grand Slammed Satruday but lacked a brown! Ended the day with 20 fish. Mikey Burt made sure he redeemed himself too. Fish hit the wire and he lost it within 5 seconds, he sent the wire back down and didnt even get to take his hand off the rod and it fired again:) Good job mike. 250 copper, wires at 218-260, riggers 59-76. Today, we went out again, Joe, Jim and his boy Andy and found fish in the same location! Except today they wanted a east west troll. We hit fish on Copper. Leadcore, riggers and wires. 250 coppper produced. We were running west when the rod went, ripping line, get it 30 foot from copper/mono and the rod pops up, fish came off.. Got the spoon to the boat and the spoon looked like an accordion, I am assuming it was a rainbow, and hope it was, because it was a beast! We hit wires Constantly with the Seneca Special/Lap dance fly. the 10 color wasnt producing so i swapped it out and put the 5 out, 10 minutes later, wham! 6 lb salmon! That was a fun one to watch come in. We did alot of healthy native lakers the past two days, and i love seeing that. Kept 3 today, one laker and two landlocks, we went 10:15.. ran riggers at 59 and 72 and 91. all produced. Wires today were at 236 and 263. Didnt land any fish on cheaters but had a couple on as well. Before we quit, We took two MASSIVE hits on the wires. I have never seen my rods bend and hit the water when the fish hit. Weirdest thing, no hooks stuck on these 2...????? Red cross weekend soon, cant wait Nick
