Isnt this warm weather a drag? I think it is. Wish I could work on the boat, I believe this is the last year I "shrink wrap" the vessel. Any one else in the regret? or maybe just itching to work on their's?
lets see the winter blues
getting kinda of heavy dont ya think? it came with brackets for the inside gunnel, but, my concern at most now is my outriggers, the A-frame to the launcher will be directly over my mounts for the riggers..i think im sacrificing my riggers and doing away with them..18footers, may be for sale in march if its what i gotta do.
if i were to mount one on the platform, i would definatley get a newer outboard, and the electronic kicker steer. all done by remote control. now that would be neat. its nice to have a dream....
yea, he is pricey, very, when i can buy an NK for cheaper. but i wouldnt mind buying a few to help a fellow local out and support his business, maybe he can come down in price..some patterns he has i have already...might wanna look into that, could be stealing someones bread off their table.
yes it was ed, the musky guy, lol. he was great. went out of village marina near captain bills, due to the canal was forzen at the launch.
downriggers, 20 ft, three hundred back. about 2-3mph

agreed chowder, can be the same on seneca, we had a day this past summer, near the painted rock, we pulled three lakers form dipsys up high off the out riggers, and a bunch of LL's at like 75 ft down...it was fun and very interesting
problem is i had a problem last year, something hit my platofrm and cracked the inner liner, i had to get down in the engine compartment and redo the ass end on one side, its stronger than it was before it happened, but who knows i could end up with one someday..
i think you need to get some people together some night..And go over a bunch of rules, make a list, and set up dates..this should start in april if possible!
that TR-1 setup is really nice, i have read alot about it. i would love to have a kicker, but then i sacrifice losing my swim platform....i like having that
i like that idea, i would like it alot, maybe up the boats entry a bit? and set up a early morning meeting on the lake? or launch..w/e..this is a great idea..can be fun!
hodge podge? gotta say thats a first time ive heard that expression. i think any boat thats set up to fish, is a good looking boat in my eye, weather its made from garbage or gold. if it puts ya in the fishin hole, its good enough, that pond called seneca, was beautiful today
i fish seneca every weekend, i mean every weekend, i live on the boat in the spring and summer months, open it to all lakes, on schedueled days, or set it up so we all fish some given date to date, and on such a date, meet at one location....i have no idea how it could work but it might..
thanks boss! sampson sounds fun this year after chatting with all ya guys, but ill make the run and fish along side ya
and to anyone, ANYONE, who wants to fish it, let me know, two seats open! bring anything you want..be running from south end up....let me know if interested. I am a pretty decent kid, and can take a joke.
send me a pm and ill shoot a my number.
today i was going to take my little jon boat out on seneca, as i came to the launch i see a pretty nice whaler...sharp looking and well equiped. i was unloading my ear into the boat, so was the gentleman with the whaler, i said morning, and so did he, and we were chatting about the fishing recently and how productive it was, i mentioned i was after some trout and salmon, as was he, then wouldn't ya know it i find myself aboard his boat, heading out on to the nice calm brisk seneca lake. wasnt even ten minutes and we were hooked up with a salmon, he thrashed a bit and threw the hook, about 15 minutes later, hooked up again, this time i said welcome aboard to the beautiful fish. then after that, plenty of hits, some nice slams, but no further lands, morning bite seemed to be short, there were many other fisherman out, and one jon boat was in shallow, real shallow, they were getting alot of fish, i would assume LL as well but anyhtigns possible, if you guys are on this site , good job today. Ed welcomed me aboard, and was a great guy to fish with. i had a good day and got some of my fix taken care of, i will be back out next weekend
good day and tight lines
