  1. Happened on seneca twice in the past few years. Mostly pan fish and bullhead. Some bass and pike as well. Last year, I remember dead bulkheads everywhere, canal, lake.... They weren't ever spooked. Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  2. Dec explained to me its due to stress and changing water temps.. Found on like, bass, Rudd, perch and even gills. Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  3. I had one of these. Awesome units. Miss having one. Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  4. Very nice boat. I see this on a regular basis. Beauty for sure. Nick Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  7. Depending on make, there house inserts, or goes over the tube. It's super easy, mess free. They offer electric ones as well. PS. Don't get oil hot, just warm, hot oil will collapse the hose. Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  8. Tractor supply sells a vacuum oil pump. I have had mine five years. Still works like new today. Suck the oil right out of the dip stick tube.. Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  9. Let me state, this was to clean the heat exchangers. Not the water passages of risers and manifolds. Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  10. I just cleaned my system using muriatic acid. I filled everything and let it sit for a few minutes, flushed and repeated. My water flow increased and temps leveled out. It's amazing the amount of buildup, especially a boat that sits in the water all season. The strainers just don't get enough on these inboards. 11. Closed cooling aka fresh water cooled means there is coolant in the motors, and the lake water cools the engine coolant using hear exchangers FWC fresh water cooled. Closed loop. RWC is raw water cooled. Most vessels taken into salt water life were converted or ordered to spec that way. Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  12. I ready to go off. This turned into a bash fest for the lake. Between the PMs ive gotten and the comments on here. It's a wonder I even let people know. I'm done with this site. Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  13. This past season. I only got one stocked bow.... Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  14. Fishing the fl, I was on of the captains mentioned in the article. However, I was not one who stated that. BUT, there is a lot of bait out there, as I mentioned previously, DEC felt there was a shortage, so, with that said, the possibility of lack of catching this year could very well be associated with the small fact if true, lack of bait, lack of stocking efforts means lack of fish to catch, so the ones you do catch are big and healthy. I'm just going based on my 30 plus charter trips and an easy 80 trips in a season on the lake... I could be wrong... Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  15. They were scattered amongst, from 100 fow to 250. I have spoke with Dec. They won't even increase salmon stocking (Atlantic) due to the belief that the lake, lacks bait. This lake needed some fish introduced, and note my previous post. There will be more fish stocked come spring.... I'm glad guys have concerns, and I'm glad this has got everyone thinking and speaking their mind, but please remember I volunteered for this to help. This is a put and take fishery, please voice your concerns to our DEC Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  16. A few pictures. Was a lot of fun. Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  17. Nice price. Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  18. Dark water. The guy who used to set up the stocking efforts had retired and I believe it was a simple loss of communication as to why they didn't do lodo this year. He said they have done Lodi and roys marina for years. This is the first time ever, that they know of, Lakers being stocked in the south end. It could be a good thing. But like I said, roys is still getting stocked. I'll be honest, maybe get one or two Lakers a year on the south five miles of lake.... Rest are salmon and browns. 21. They will be doing the spring in Lodi. They lost contact to other boats who used to help. I volunteered.... Les, I agree with you, minus the bows. I love the natural reproduction they have. It is getting stronger. I think a better answer for salmon would be to triple the numbers. I tried to convince the state to allow a pen project for salmon I don't get far.. 22. Hey fellow anglers of seneca lake. I wanted to share some prospecting info for our cherished waterway. Tomorrow, we will be setting 13,500 lake TROUT go in the south end, while we also let another 13,500 go in the north end for the fall stocking. In the spring, I believe there will be another large number of fish stocked as well. Just figured I'd let everyone know. The future looks promising. I will be one boat on hand. I believe we have enough boats. If you're interested in seeing this, contact me. I can let you in on where and when. Nick Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  23. I'd take the auger if ibwas closer Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  24. These are right from the dock. Last weekend i had a few carp on. Caught a bunch of perch about 6-12" and a few suckers and Rudd... Corn and night crawlers. There are plenty of bass and pike in the area too. Nick Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  25. The perch have been active in the canal on south end. If you just wanna catch. There's all kinds of fish. We've been doing well. Go to clute park and fish over near the launch ramp and docks. Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
