  1. Are you running a Volvo penta drive? If so, she can handle the 383 I believe. Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  2. Okay, its because you're getting too much blowback. It's not able to shoot your signal up would be my guess. Try a twelve or thirteen lb ball. Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  3. Best thing too, is unplug at all launches. Even awater tight light will fail in due time.. Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  4. Steve, you may be seeing a different kind of interference on your bird. Are you sure it's the probe causing it? Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  5. I love Tony's stuff. But I love the ratcheting system and Tony's setup is too bulky to add into my existing arch Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  7. I have twenty of these rod holders. I set them up for tree use just like the cannon YouTube account/ pro staff video shows. It does not work for tree use for my planer board lines. I have to put a stainless pin in the ratchet section of the handle or else the holder will fall to the laid out position. Cannon told me every boat fishes differently. I told them no, its set up like yours. They said, then try someone else. If I didn't have so much invested they would be gone. Finishing out this season and going traxtech instead. 8. Mine is ten inches from my transducer on the transom. I run two Garmin units, one o. The transom and one thru-hull and I have zero interference. I have run my ball as far as 130 foot with no issues. Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  9. Scotch locks. Worst invention ever. I don't understand why people use them, even factory assembly lines do... Best connection you can ever do is some solder and heat shrink. Guaranteed for life. As long as it was done on clean wire. But next best thing is to waterproof it, and that liquid electrical tape is good stuff. Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  16. What size dipsys are you using? We run mag for flasher flies, a mag out 175 will tick bottom in 80 fow with 30lb wire and a flasher fly on it at speeds of 1.8 and up Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  18. It's always nice to do one at a time. So you know what was the cause.... Take this from a technician, as being a parts changer is not a diagnosis. I've seen guys throw hundred of bucks at once on an engine when it was only a 3 dollar gasket. Cap and rotor is always a great start. The low idle needs a hot spark, without it, you get a surge in that baby. I change mine yearly like matt said. Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  22. Watch out for the jet skis off glenora. I closelined three girls last year with my boards. I was waving for them to move away they buzzed right behind boat in a circle. Took the planer lines to the throat... Rules of the road and the orange boards meant nothing. Sent from my XT1080 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
