My name is Jason Karol, a sophomore at odyssey academy, and an avid fisherman. I am looking to deckhand for a charter for this upcoming fishing season in the rochester area(preferably launching on the genesee river but anywhere in the vicinity). I have a strong passion for fishing and would love to learn the ropes of the charter fishing buisness and work with a captain. I am more than willing to do any and all jobs on the boat and have lots of experience fishing; If it has to do with fishing, boating, or just being on the water, i love to do it. I have been fishing my entire life and am looking to take the next step and work for a captain. I have prior work experience in the food industry, bussing tables at Crescent Beach, but would like to get into the fishing buisness as this is one of my biggest intrests and desires. Please feel free to contact me at 585-663-1439 (home phone)or at jkarol24@aol.com
Thanks

I dont know if this helps but the pike just devour the gobies. I fish an area with tons of pike of all sizes and i also caught a good amount of smallies, a few over 18". My best suggestion would be to fish where the pike are when the smallies are still shallow after the spawn

Im a kayak fisherman on ontario and i have no problems at all. As longs as its semi calm, you should be fine. The only thing to worry about is the high winds and rougher waves out deeper. Ive been a mile out in a 8 ft kayak and was fine, you should be fine in a motarized boat. good fishing
All october and november i was slamming the browns in the ponds just west of the genesee off bridges and on my kayak. Biggest one was 32 inch and easily over 10 lbs. They were cushing a 3/4 oz silver cleo retrieved pretty fast near the top. Along with the browns i caught a few nice pike too and the fishing is incredible in a kayak because they drag you all around the pond.
Ok thanks, i will keep that in mind. Oak Orchard is 40 miles away from where i live which would be fine on the weekends but im looking more in the genesee river or in the area. Thanks again, good fishing.
