Yup. He's not too bad... Here's the report..... 6 for 9 On the lake at 7-730. Off the lake at 1200. Got a few landlocks, browns right off the bat. spoons They shutdown and we hit a couple lakers. flasher-fly Biggest was laker - around 29 inches. Only weighed 5-6 pounds. Skinniest fish that length I've ever seen. Looked like a trout head/pike body. Fresh lamphrey mark on back..... Thanks for getting the boat out Nick!

Wish I could offer to come fish some of them with ya Sean but I'm working all of them and my vac is bout all used up. Maybe next year if I land the new job, I can become a permanent tournament deck hand.... lol

T4 is sweet. Push a button and it moves. only takes a few seconds to get from one extreme to the other and a quick push of the button only moves it a little bit. Now to see how reliable it is!

How do you get there?

I'll make the trip up there for a few hammer glow flies.... Gas is killer coming from Corning!

I used a knot for the wire for my coated cable. Double it up. Run through eye. Flip around snap. Overhand knot inch from connection. Saw it on here somewhere. I test it by pulling down on it from the ground and my downrigger will come off the boat before the knot fails. Which isn't necessarily a good thing....

Here's a fun trip.... Head to hammondsport real early. Net a few smelt in the viaduct. Head out in the kayak to where it starts to drop off. If there's a wind, you may have to anchor on the edge. Take a med, med-light pole. Anything will work. Spinning rig is fine. Hook the smelt at the end (lot of people argue about the best way to do this). Slip bobber up about 5-10 feet. Cast. Catch the browns that are chasing the smelt. Good times.

That sucker is tight in there. If it leaks at all, I bet it wouldn't fill a gallon jug all day. Not enough water pressure to amount to anything. Gotta find someone with an angle drill. Only way you're going to be able to fit a drill in there. Pretty sure on these OMC/Stringers you have to yank the outdrive/intermediate housing to pull the engine. Not something I want to do this time of year. Maybe when I get a couple days off in a row....

Probably going to hit the water and do some fishing on Friday April 2. Probably won't be able to get out until 4pm. Anyone want to hit the water for a couple hours let me know. Got extra room.

So, everything is finally put together. Got the T4 on and it looks sweet! Should work perfect for trolling but I wish it had a little more steering travel. Kinda limited to how sharp of a turn you can make. Which is fine when a newbie be steering the boat! Anyway, fired the engines up yesterday. The main started pretty good with only a little coughing/sputtering. Ran good. Shifted. AND STEERED!!!!!!! Note to all who own the early 80s OMCs with stringer outdrives with hydraulic assist. WILL NOT STEER WITH THE MOTOR OFF! Guess an ez-steer wouldn't have worked..... Unless it's fine now that pressure is built up..... Kicker was another story. Did not want to start at all. Had to hand pump her full of gas and cover the intake with hand, do a little dance, and it would sputter to life. Idled fantastic. Give it gas and it's like it's choking itself out. Will run at throttle but it's like it's skipping, coughing, sputtering. Kinda hard to describe. Gonna put new plugs in it and Sea Foam the carb and see if that helps. Noticed when the i/o was running, that there was water coming from the side of the engine. OH NO CRACKED BLOCK!!!!! Jusk kidding. 4 drains on the engine. 2 manifold, 2 block. 3 of them have your typical twist drains. The 4th had this short brass sleeve running into the block and a brass plug in the end of it. Someone must have busted the twist drain at one point and they cobbed this thing in there. Anyway, I must have tightened the plug up too much at some point and split the sleeve. So I took the plug out. Went to take the sleeve out of the block and oh yeah, broke it off flush with the block. Get the ez out. Sucker won't budge. Put the torch to the block. Nothing. Can't even back out the ez out! Whoops. Broke the ez out flush with the block. Good news is I think it's ok cause I bet that sucker is real good and plugged now! Bad news, have to figure out a way to drill it out before winter. Down under the engine is hard to get to. Start it up again today and see if any water does come out the drain.....

There was an addendum to paragraph 25 as seen in appendix C renamed under ICU812, stating as such, "Parker Boats operating in waters of which Lake Ontario is included, must include at a minimum, one person whose name is Bob. Any Parker Boats operating without a Bob, will be subject to fines including loss of boat and gear to a Bob."

It's ok Sean. I'll know the Cayuga team really put some effort forth with you on their team. Besides, they can use all the help they can get! Should be getting the boat wet here in the next few days!!!!

I might be heading out saturday morning as well. Contemplating. Finally got my T4 yesterday and will be throwing it in today. Test run everything at the house then make for the water!

I got the penn set up from atom mik. Comes all spooled up. The daiwa 47 def won't hold it and backing. Not sure about okumas.
