  1. the past few weeks on cayuga has been good to us today i fished from myers pt. with my two kiddos, and tim ( a retired navy vet, and former charter cpt. from hawaii.) we watched ligtning from hhds to ithaca, but by the time we hit the water the weather was good. we set up in front of myers and trolled north in 350-400' of water. it was non stop action for the next hour and a half. wire\dipseys doing most damage. white s.d. with green dots, and green fly was the hot set up. riggers were parked at 85, and 75 with rods stacked everywhere resulting in lakers, landlocks, and a real nice bow. i ran a s.d. and fly on bottom with spoons stacked all around. moon cricket was good deeper, purple\hot pink honeybee up high took the bow. we boated over 20 fish easy, boxing a few lakers for tims smoker, and releasing the rest.i didnt get a pic of the bow b\c my phone died sorry... heres tim with a few lakers.. last week we were supposed to go to lake ontario, but at the last minute decided to fish closer to home...friday 8-26 was awsome, same place, same set up. heres a few pics.... i think tim is liking what our area has to offer
  2. I'll stack 3 rods per rigger. Usually a flasher/ fly tight to the ball, a spoon 8' above farther back than the f/f, then a rod 25-30 feet above the ball. I get a few hits on the bottom pole, but the 2nd rod takes a lot of fish. The top rod gets some landlocks, and a real nice bow on cayuga today..... [ Post made via Android ]
  3. Good job. Always happy to share info and help people out. We had a great day as well. Lakers, browns, and landlocks. We couldnt find any bows for the grandslam. [ Post made via Android ]

  8. fished out of t-falls with steve aboard the fishin magician. we started around five and fished till dark. we headed north from the park, and had non-stop action the entire time. white\green dot spinnie with big weenie fly(fruity frosticle i think) from the dipsey set at 285 was the ticket. picked a few lakers and salmon off the riggers set at 65 and 75ft, pulling spoons. most of the action however was on the dipseys. we ended up with over 20 hookups, boating around 15 of them. we had quite a few that were over 10lbs. we doubled twice right in front of the park... weeds and fleas were a non issue, but the lake was pretty rough.. a big thanks to steve for a fantastic evening of fishing

  18. I'm thinking about making the 2 1\2 hour drive to the oak tomorrow with a few guys, but the weather is saying there is a front coming through producing possible thunderstorms. wind direction looks ok, less than 10 s , becoming west. if it was a cayuga trip which is an hour drive i would just go. but its a long tow , lots of gas, just to get there and not be able to get out... i'm still up in the air about this
  19. i might not make it sunday.. had a death in the family
  20. after the hard west wind on thursday i thought the weeds would be cleared off... guess not. nice chattin with ya out there fri.
  21. great pics nice chatting with you guys out there
  22. I fished on thursday with the wife + kids. we started around 8:30 near deans cove and headed south, fished all the way to sheldrake, then circled around and hit the other side of the lake. only managed 1 laker. Friday i took a guy from work and his bro from PA. We hit the water around 6:00. we set up at sheldrake and went south to the power station and worked that water all day. we only caught 1 little laker, and 1 little salmon. we dropped 2 off the wire. i threw every thing at those fish, just couldnt get them to participate. Plus the weeds were every where. I worked my butt of tring to get some fish for these guys, just couldnt make it happen my fishing pride took a shot. sunday is going to be interesting. the lake looks like it turned over, and the fleas seem to be letting up already. isnt this early in the summer for this? how often does the lake "turn over"? to me the water looked stained.
  23. I have a 97 rage hardtop. It's a great boat. We fished tues. In Ontario and it was rough. The boat handles the waves nicely. Good luck with her, let us know how you like it! [ Post made via Android ]

  25. Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name: dave butts/ Reelhard2 ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s):7-19 Time on Water:6-2 Weather/Temp: Wind Speed/Direction: Waves: big ones Surface Temp: Location: LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: 12 Total Boated:9 Species Breakdown:4 mature kings, 4 little ones, 1 steelhead Hot Lure: green/chrome spinnies, green flies Trolling Speed: Down Speed: 2-2.5 Boat Depth: 100-175 Lure Depth: wire 210 rigger 60-75 ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS we found cold water in close and marked fish, so we set up and fished. hit a nice king on the wire right away. as soon as we hit warm water-no more fish. so we circled back to cold water and got back into fish. it was like that all morning. the wind was blowing and the lake was rough, so it was difficult at times to stay on the right water. over all had a great day, doubled twice, and had a screamer on the wire. this fish ripped 300' out like it was his job. after a great fight we land a monster king. (dead battery on the scales) i lost a greatbig steely right at the back of the boat. ====================
