  1. fished cayuga with my little ones today.(baby girl is 2, the boy is 4) we went north from myers pt. started at t. falls and doubled up 10 min. after setting up. went 5-7 overall. 2 lakers, 2 L.L.s , 1 brown. (lost 2). big weenie rolling rock, and pole dancer,+ fruity frosticles. also hooked up on honeybee spoon. at one point, my down rigger rod was running wierd. as i tried to bring it in it got teid in everythiong else?! when i got it all in, i had an extra thunderstick+100ft. of line + swivel that i never put out. it took me a minute to realize that i didnt put that out . i guess thats better than losing tackle. overall a beautiful day on the lake, and a day well spent with my kiddos. -Dave

  5. My son, Dangerous Dave, and myself went out on seneca out of watkins glen. we fished from 530 till aroound 815pm. fished up and down the west side, across the end, up and down the east side, and back across the end. tried right up and back down the middle too. only managed 1 L.L. on a green/yellow/glow spoon 45 feet down... i can't seem to get anything going in the evenings. probley should have tried some of dangerous dave's lures..... it was was a great evening on the water anyway, and awsome to have my boy get to reel in a "great-big beauty dad!!"

  16. Well, we fished north out of severn from 9:00-2:30. ended up boating 8 lakers from 11 hook-ups. all were nice-fat quality lake trout. allfish were over 7 lbs. with the biggest being 10lbs. green spin doctors and flies did most of the work. the two biggest lakers were taken on a green pro troll with a homemade yellow fly. killed 2 lampreys, all fish had marks on them. kept three fish. two for my grill, and my partner,Mr. (purple)Hayes took one home to his wife.
  17. good luck on the south end.we fished it wed. afternoon, without much luck at all. couldn't find any bait fish, or mark any thing for that matter. managed 1 laker. we'll be off the water by 2:30 tomarrow. Dave

  22. Fish seneca with jason today. we went north out of severn, 7:00am-2:30 pm. we boated around 35 nice lakers. some were in the 9-10lb. range. they were hitting spin doctors and big weenie flies. managed to do well with honeybee spoons also. riggers and wire fired all day. doubles and a few trips were common place today. couldn't ask for a nicer day on the h2o.
  23. thanks lil' troller. glad you guys had a good day too. this is the first time i've fished this early in the year, so the learning curve for me right now is pretty big. i got my boat in july last year, and my old one wasn't set up with planner boards. i've just tried what i read on this site. i've fished this area in may, but usualy out deeper. there used to be some marker bouys out on the drop, but they weren't there. does any one know if they'll be putting them back in? i think they were in 80-100ft. of water. We pulled some lead core on sunday too but didn't do any on that. We'll be back on the water thurs, probly seneca. if your out, give us a shout "Reel Hard" channel 68-- Dave
