  8. We got outta there , got home and had the boat covered before it hit. Gotta love having a weather radar on my I phone. We saw the storms coming from the west getting ready to hit keuka lake. I figured we should get while the gettin was good. Hey Sam, good to hear from ya, glad u got some kings, I wanna hit the oak next week sometime..
  9. It was my bro's 40th birthday and he wanted to fish. Well, we planned on going early but when I got out of bed it was thunder and lightning , so I went back to bed.... The weather moved out so we hit the water by 9:00. We launched on the south end , pointed her north and set up. We trolled till about 2:00, and never moved a rod! I threw everything at em, tried out deep , and in shallow... Nada! What a diff from my previous trips. I shoulda went with my first instinct and launched up at Lodi... Oh well , we had a good time havin some beverages and shooting the BS. I guess a skunk every once and a while isn't the worst thing that can happen... I go on vacation starting this weekend, it will b payback time for sure. Might even get up to lake O.....

  17. I knew you would recognize that nick...
  18. Hit the water with Tim and wild bill today at around 8:30. Started In front of the hotel on the south end and trolled north right up the gut. Right away we took hits on the 250 wire and the stacked rigger rod at 50'. Tim dropped both fish. 3rd hookup , and Tim finally boats a nice salmon. It was a steady pick for the rest of the day. We took salmon and rainbows on every rod. Many were your average cookiecutter fish that got let go to grow bigger. We kept a few that were hooked deep. Our best fish of the day hit a copper and green cheater. The rod bounced twice, then Pow! The fish was hooked and not real happy about it.... After a bit of excitement , a 6.5 lb. bow hits the deck! Again, the deep water was the ticket . Wire divers were 190 and 250. Chrome with green dot spinnies on both. Riggers were 80 and 65 with rods stacked 10' above. Carmel dolphin is HOT!!
  19. Wow, what a beautiful brown! Seneca has been giving it up. Way to go , those look like very happy clients... As I sit here drinking a beer reading this post, I might not work overtime tomorrow , I might go visit Seneca lake instead.......
  20. I see lots of other people were doing the same thing I was doing today. We hit the south end today, first lines didn't hit the water till 10:30. Had a bow released before our spread was out. It was steady pickings of bows , landlocks, and lakers till we got tired and finally quit at 3:00. We had doubles and a triple. I saw a bunch of boats working in tight to shore, but deeper water was the ticket for us. Our last few trips have been all salmon, bows and browns. Today the lakers decided to show up hungry. Rigger were 70, and 60 .wire divers were 250,190. Green , green/ yellow was all I ran. We kept some lakers for the smoker, and grilled up a rainbow, and a salmon. Wow! best fish ive had in a long tome. Today was one of those days I'll remember for a long time.
  21. Ha , nice report,, we did every thing but lakers on the south end. Lots of nice salmon and browns, and a few bows up the middle of the lake. Lost a few that were set deep, kept looking for a big laker, just couldn't land one.... We did not start till 9:00 , but had steady action till 4:00.. Lots of debris and chocolate milk water out of the canal, but clear water outside the breakwall
  22. My first lake o charter was with capt. Mick. Great guy! Looks like u had an awesome trip.
  23. Right on ray. I put new sneakers on it last Friday. I bumped up from a 205 to a 225(8 ply). I do need to pull the hubs and service the bearings, just for my peace of mind...
  24. Thanks guys. I've been scrubbing and waxing for a week and a half now. Darn weather won't cooperate so I can get a fishing trip in. Thunderstorms for the next week ahead.
