  1. A box full of spare parts for the Proos rigger owner. 2 motors, one mounted on a frame, 2 spools, one with braided wire cable on it, 1 switch and cover, 1 pulley wheel, 1 spring, 1 counter, 1 rodholder. $35 takes all.
  2. 1 Ratchet style, 1 flush mount. $20 each or both for $35.
  3. buckboardjr, My diver of choice for several years has been the original(old style) Luhr Jensens with aftermarket DW rings. I do not have many of these divers left, and I'm not crazy about the newer designed trigger arms or quality of the recent ones. The early model Walkers had failures and quality control issues so I stayed away, and I knew in my head where my usual divers ran in most scenarios. Now that the deeper divers have been aquired by Grayden, they will be fine tuned as much as possible and I will certainly be running them.
  4. In the last couple days, a deal was finalized by Trevor Sumption of Grayden Outdoors to acquire the Walker deeper divers and Trip Z divers. Trevor plans to improve and expand on these products, as his commitment to Great Lakes fishing/products continues to grow. For those not familiar with Grayden Outdoors, their acquisition of Fish Hawk electronics has resulted in better quality and improved features with those already popular units.
  5. We have had very, very good success and reliability with the Dreamweaver ballbearing swivels.
  6. Good stuff guys. Devonian, the Olympic medals ratio was LOL!!!! Just to add, With the "big carrot at the top", you draw that many more from several states and provinces--then you have the purse to pay down. It has been clearly communicated loud and clear, and again powerfully with participation or lack of, that the players want to "WIN WHEN THEY WIN."
  7. I haven't met anyone who travels the lake fishing Tournaments, that doesn't think Sodus is a great location. I sure hope someone or a business group steps up there, because we love visiting there and the area certainly gets a financial "shot in the arm" from these 2 day events. Despite the negativity circulating prior to last seasons event, it was full of newer teams. Drawing from Rochester and Oswego to add to all the boats in Sodus, this area has huge potential if we can bring back the teams from the past. It's time to listen to the "customers"(players). Being able to walk to everything from the boat is sweet, and makes for a fun atmosphere.
  8. Good stuff. Your first "Random thought" says it all. Congrats on your fine season. We are not done yet, but I have fished this lake since the late 70's, and I'm fairly certain this one tops them all.
  9. Many of us are wanting to know the status of the Pro-Ams. I think it will take local coordination and the formats/rules revisited. I completely understand the frustration, as anyone looking to participate will need to know dates and what is a go or no. I wish I could answer but I have heard nothing. By the sounds of things, Niagara and Orleans will be held, but Sodus and Oswego are up in the air.
  10. Mike, thank you for your hard work. I know it's really not your place or problem, but many people are interested in knowing if the series is going to continue with the Eastern events. Will the 4 Tournament series continue? There are several threads going unanswered on here, some looking for results, others looking for info on 2013 events. I tried to get it rolling with a meeting in August in Oswego, but thus far haven't heard anything as to dates or if the Eastern events will continue. It was hoped that they would all take on a local "ownership", and some of the unpopular rules revisited for the survival of the series. As was expressed all last winter, and again here in some threads, dates and formats need to be offered by year end so people can plan accordingly. Thanks again.
  11. AMEN, Jerry and Pete. The current admin wants citizens on the "teat"(hows that for farm word power, Jerry?), as independence is a threat to their existence.
  12. No season comes close. Staging Kings and Steel off the Niagara as of yesterday, and a good mixed bag catch including feeding Kings today at Olcott. Good luck with the new ride.
  13. Chas, what I think eye spy is telling you is it's warm top to bottom in 130 fow.
  14. Good stuff guys. Congrats Sunny 2. Whoever thought of that came up with a winner.
  15. Give us tourny rundown. Love the sound of that "one man- er". Who bought lunch(won), and who put a "beat down" on his food and winners wallet?
  16. Now Pete, you know Coughlin would not approve, but considering they don't have cheerleaders that is a fine representative.
  17. I agree Ray. I'm very impressed, especially with Rubio. Perhaps there's hope after all. Ryan and Romney are outdoorsmen, and all about domestic energy and putting America first. Just think, December 25th could be called CHRISTmas again!
  18. Congrats to Pete and crew!
  19. I have spent most of my life studying and pursuing these amazing fish. Although the males ( deer, humans?) are ahead of schedule and eager to stage, the size has more to do with age. It has been my observation, that a higher percentage of male kings reach 4yrs old and even a few rare 5 yr olds. Perhaps mother nature has it this way so the biggest, strongest pass on the genes. Sound familiar? Not only would a giant male be able to ascend the strongest currents better, but probably withstand predators better. In the spawning situation, the large male will get the ripe hen and then afterwards defend the nest better. Survival of the fittest. At the same time, you will see small, mature "jack" males in a good year class. The theory is mother nature takes care to insure propagation of the species in low water years. This also spreads out the gene pool over several seasons. Probably because of egg viability, females are almost always 3 or 4 yr olds. I know that almost all of the mid to high 30's Kings caught on my boats have been males. I have seen very few females over 33lbs. I think the females stay on the feed a little longer because so much goes into to the eggs. Now someone go out there and get a bloated, overdue hen with 12lbs of roe in her!
  20. Black knobs, can be used as one for throttle and one for shifting, or for twin application as dual throttle or dual shifting. $20 firm.
  21. Heat calories ROCK. It means better growth rates through Fall and early Winter.
  22. Yes, 24hrs. If no one is there to take your money then you will be responsible when you get in.
