Me and my dad came up with a pretty good name for my boat it is SILVER TIMES. I am a serious competitive swimmer so silver and gold times are my goal. Most of the fish we are after are silver so thats why we thought of SILVER TIMES.
Me dad and my brother took my boat into the barn to start the "gutting" of my boat. She needs a new transom so dad cut out the outer transom and took out the old plywood that was like wet sawdust. Next step is to cleanup the inside floor and design a place to install a fuel tank towards the bow. Then install new plywood and vinyl on the floor. It already has a bilge but dad says he wants to install another automatic bilge just in case. Then we have to cut new wood for the transom and fiberglass it all back together and paint. Hope to be perchin with her by May. Here are some pics of the progress.
Cutting out the floor and getting it ready to replace a bad stringer. Soon as the weather warms up some we will start the fiberglassing. It sure is a mess. I cant wait to get it in the water.
Thanks Ray,dad will be with me and will teach me. He wont let me go out of sight when I take it out. cant wait to take the boating course. He already lets me drive the Amberjack. When he is with me of course.
Check out my boat! She is in rough shape but me and my brother and my dad are going to put a new floor in it and get the motor so it runs better. We will use it to perch and bass fish on Cayuga lake mostly. I cant wait. I have to come up with a name for her soon. I also have to take the boaters safety course this winter so I can take her out and slam some fish.
