I think the reason the Boat fishing is down is do to the price of gas, there isn't many boats that don't burn atleast 50 for a day of fishing and in this economy thats a lot of money.

I know the dec will say they don't have the money but i think its about time we get another hatchery maybe on the niagara river? but, seems like every other year there is some sort of issues and one of these times its going to be more then just an issue

Thought it would be interesting with the all changes to the pro am format, to find out whos doing the niagara county open division and how many ppl are doing it.

I want to run both days for the niagara county pro am open divistion but my pay pal account was hacked a few months ago and now i don't have one , and sense its less then 30 days before the event i can't mail a check like i was planing but i see you can pay the director. I've been wanting to buy a new landing net for the boat but I'm not sure which to get, I was thinking that a ruber net would be best, does anyone have any advice?

Tom, My suggestions for the Open: 1. Leave the entry fee as is. 2. Increase the fishing time. With no separate Am division it should easily be able to be pushed out without interference at the weigh-in. 3. Possibly bump the fish up to the best 4. Thanks for considering. Nothing wrong with using a .223, i've killed serveral deer with a .222 mag, which is basically the same thing. I'd say that if he likes the .223 let him use it, this way hes comfortable and wont be scared of the recoil like he maybe if he was using a larger caliber. for bullets i shoot 55 grain soft pionts and every deer i've shot with them i've totally stoned with them.

when there in close by the piers and stuff at night fishing for them works other then that don't waste your time i've tried it a couple of times and got nothin, and then turned around and pounded them the next morning so idk what happends at night but i can't find them

I don't see want the problem with the date is at all!! i don't fish out of Sandy creek but i like the idea of tourment(due to the cost,time, and the fact i don't need to hire a lawer to figure out the rules) so i'm planning on trailing my boat to sandy and fishing it, and i know last year i wanted to fish the tourment but wasn't able to because there was already 2 derbys going on. SO I SAY THANK YOU TO ALL THAT ARE INVOLED WITH THIS TOURMENT FOR THE DATE CHANGE AND ALL THAT YOU HAVE DONE TO CREATE THIS TOURMENT.

Wire is tricky i have lost several dipsey setups all to find out that there was a little inperfection so to speak in one of my guides that was nicking the wire. make sure to check your guides as well. Hope this tip saves you the trouble i whish it would have saved me.

Ok so with all these Canadian customs stuff going on i decided to call to find out first hand whats going on. So come to find out they are now enforcing a rule where if you go into Canadian water without have some sort of BS pass thing you have to pay for you will get fined or have your boat confiscated. And as much as I hate to do this as I normally chase the salmon wherever they go on this lake i think its time where we all refuse to buy Canadian licenses and BOYCOTT Canada all together until this problem is resolved. This issue will not fix itself unless we take a stand. to all the fishermen in Canada I’m sorry this not an attack on you as i have read posts on other sites saying how many of you don't approve and all i want is to go back to being friendly neighbors.

if your using rotators never use 20lb always go with 30lb, mature kings will break you off almost everytime with they hit learned that the hard way

Two questions here. First i see that there is some sort of mini derby going on on july 24 and if i'm reading it correctly you don't need to buy the mini pass to particapate if you are already entered in the ppd? Second question is when you win a ppd when do you get your money?

Yes and no alot of times it can also mean how far back behind the cannon ball you are runing your lures, or the distance between fly and rotator.
