Good question! Some times if you don't bang away at them in a block they will run around in tight circles and you will get to see them many of times in front of the hounds and other times if they get shot at in a block they will travel to the next county. Boy was our New Years day a happy one! We ran this yote for over 3 hours balls to the wall with the hounds very close behind. With only 3 hunters this morning we waited for the perfect shot about 30 yards after a few opportunities that were a little far out. This adventure took us accrost 4 county blocks and back again and we took him down only a couple of hundred of yards away from were we first jumped him. The base that broke is a pedestal mount 1904032. It was the shoulder bolt in n the center of the mount plate. I searched the internet up and down and couldn't find the part on line.
