We been banging away at then this week trying to put a hurting on them here in Hamlin /Kendall. The pic of the yote that has he cut in the belly came from my first shot a hour into the run but I finnaly connected hour and a half later with a good one. There is been nothing easy bout running them this year with all the ice and frozen ground for sure. Sent from my XT1710-02 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
Lots of brown ground or ice this year has made tracking difficult for the hounds for sure. They jumped 5 yotes last weekend only killed one and one dinged. Another got sight chanced so hard by a couple of my fast females late in the day when it warmed up it dug a hole in a log pile and never came out. With Sandy creek harbor in the background fishing is the furthest thing on my mind when my hounds breaks the morning silence barking a fresh track! My buddy that ownes the farm took his fox on the run at 155 paces! Sent from my XT1710-02 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
Took this pic during the muzzleloader season and the deer we're just starting to roto till my turnips and beet plots. When the snow was deep early in the gun season they didn't dig down to eat them and bow season they just ate the tops off. Sent from my XT1710-02 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
There is a treatment that is realitivly inexpensive for just a few trees (dinotefuran) but if ur looking at many of trees in a large woodlot it would be very unaffordable. Sent from my XT1710-02 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
Italy valley , Yates country they started coming down the valley from the north 2 years ago and this year they started killing trees at the North end of me and by next year they will all be toast! Most of the trees were not marketable yet or the ones that were are in a WRP program. Sent from my XT1710-02 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
After sitting in a stand the other day watching a pair of pileated woodpeckers hammer away on a few of my thousands ash trees I began to wonder were I was going to put my stand after there all dead. The good news is I guess the lower acerage of our woodlot will turn back into one great big brush lot again and become another good place for a deer santuary. I decided to investigate and pull back some bark and here's pics of the little monster! The emerald ash borer larvae. I guess the woodpeckers are happy.

I had one of the most exciting Hunt's I've had in a while yesterday in Yates Co. on my land . I got to watch a big black bear for 45 minutes while he bedded stretched scratched and yauned! He's much larger than the one I took a few years ago closest he came was 45 yards. Got some more good pics too. Our big boys just aren't walking during the day yet. Things are really starting to ramp up on my farm last week this primary scrape was hit up pretty good by some nice bucks. By end of season every older age buck in the neighborhood will visit this scrape like many years in the past. Sent from my XT1710-02 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
