I thought I'd give it a try but not sure exactly how to go about it the right way. Do I need an airbrush, or a regular paint brush, type of paint ?? Any thoughts or tips would be appreciated

Was hoping someone knew of a mechanic that would come to the dock to look at two minor issues. The boat is docked at Clarks Marina in Port Ontario. The issues are : 1. Boat diesels when I come back to the dock and turn off the engine 2. Throttle issue... when boat is kicked into gear and I try to increase my speed by tapping the throttle, the throttle moves but no increase in speed.... if I continue to tap it eventually wants to go fast, doesn't seem like there's an in between Thanks !

Received two Big Jon pedestal mount rod holders and there doesn't appear to be any hardware to mount the plate to the boat. What all would I need to complete this, 4 SS bolts, washers, lock washers and a nuts ?? Thanks

Downrigger weights (2) 8 lbs each
antney1 replied to antney1's topic in Classifieds - Buy, Sell, Trade or Rent
They are available. I live in Rome and my boat is docked in Port Ontario -
Used 1/2 season, 8 pound lead weights painted black.... $35.00 for both
-
Was 3 for 6 in front of the stick, 35-45 fow... 2.5 - 3.0 mph...... black widow and NBK
-
The Chamberlain releases have two tension screws....one is a vertical setting that allows you to crank the rod over and the other a horizontal setting. The horizontal release works with magnets and you can set it for very light bites..... take a look at this
-
If you like the Blacks I think you'll like the Chamberlains alot better

Two (2) sets of yellow bird inline planer boards. Two ports & two starboards. Each comes with an Osprey release. Used 4 times, switched to Otter Boats. Total paid $80, selling for $40. I live in Rome and am docked at Clarks marina in Port Ontario

That's a good question LB I do not know....I guess I should disconnect the pump and if water isn't going everywhere I have my answer ?!
-
Thanks for the help....I wasn't sure about the VHF, thought you should be able to hear from both the internal and external, so that problems solved, if it's connected to an external speaker the internal does not work. Now for the washdown, there is a shutoff valve below the pump with a yellow handle, I've tried it with the handle up and down and still nothing. I'm going to ask the dealer for a new pump and hope that solves my problem...thanks !

I have two issues that I have been unable to figure out, first is the raw water washdown. When the switch is on the pump runs but doesn't seem to want to prime, alittle bit of water dribbles out the fitting where the hose connects to. The other issue is the vhf, there's power, I can transmit but can't hear anything out of the internal speaker, I can hear it however if I turn my stereo on and switch the stereo to vhf mode. Thanks in advance for your ideas

Looking for someone who has this boat and uses planer boards. Trying, without any luck, to figure out how and where to rig the reels and mast Thanks
-
OK, not to sound stupid....if these are homemade how would you go about making them ?
-
-
I just happened to see this video and it looks like the easy to use boards w/o having to install a mast. does anyone know where to get these mini masts & reels ??
-
Only interested in fishing Lake O for trout and salmon....I need to find someone with the same boat and see how they're rigged for boards
-
I have come to the conclusion that I do not like in-line planer boards, and after having fished with someone that uses the big boards I have decided that is the direction I would like to head. I have a 21.5' Trophy Pro Walk Around Cuddy. My questions are : mast or no mast, if mast where to mount. home made vs retail. Mounting locations of reels and pulleys if no mast. Any and all input is appreciated.

Spoke to Capt Frank yesterday and have two 22" buggy bags on the way

Was out for the first time this past Saturday. I have a 21.5' Trophy Pro with a 4.3L I/O.... I tried the 5 gallon bucket thing (one on each side) and was able to slow her down to 2.4 mph. From everything I've been reading people are trolling 1.8-2.3 mph plus I don't want to do the redneck thing any longer. What do you guys recommend size wise and where's the best place place to purchase ?? Thanks !!
-
Do you need shore power for that ?? If so I don't think I have access to that. I'm hoping that by me opening up the 5 drain plugs on the motor, maybe adding some antifreeze and then covering the engine with a mattress pad that I will be alright. Gonna be an expensive lesson if I'm wrong
-
I was going to put it into the slip this Saturday(where it will be all season, not trailering it)... I have no problem pulling drain plugs and hoses, what are we talking bout, 10 minutes of work ?? I also have a few mattress pads left over from a move so maybe between the marina water, the plugs, the pads, and the engine cover I shouldn't have a problem ??
