I thought it will be save your times to search for ice fishing tourney like I did. Please post it on here. Because I wanted to attend couple of them at this year. I never have ice tourney before so I want to gain the experience of doing it. Fairhavenfisherman - Same here, I usually after the bass and pike during winter on tip-up until I learned how to jigging with rod. It cannot beat the feeling when you got a bite at end of line. then I heard that trout was excellent fighter tad better than pike in winter. It made me want to go after them. Just let me know how fishing is well at sometime later once you went. Good luck!

Yeah, wish that trout size was common in NY. It would make more exciting fishing season. There are several videos on that same person under "monster trout caught by ice fishing" on Youtube.com. It was really awesome to watch it. Just let ya know if you is being bored and want to waste your time to do something to look at.

Hey anyone, I just wanted to try catch smallmouth bass and any kind of trouts through ice. Since I never caught them during winter season. It kind of made this into my bucket list to catch them. first of all, I heard that best place to fish for smallmouth bass was at Silver Lake. Is it true or what? Secondly, I don't know if Hemlock Lake is best place to fish for trout through the ice? any advice? I would be appreciate if I could go out with someone who is experience at after the trout through ice. I'm pretty newbie when its come to ice fishing. It is new game for me. Hopefully someone can ring this up.

Anyone, When I was reading on DEC rulebook, one thing that I was confusing about, Can I go after musky during ice fishing season? or that is definitely illegal to after them? I just want to make sure that I am not in any position to do any kind of illegal fishing or harm to fish. since I am pretty newbie to ice fishing.
