  1. I agree. Sales staff and price could not be beat. But getting them to respond after the sale was very difficult. I have left them 4 messages over the past week and have not heard a word back from them .hopefully the boat will be ready to pick up when I go down on Thursday.
  2. Thanks guys. I might take you up on the offer Ed IIm going down to Bloomsburg to pick up my boat this Thursday. I gave the dealership a chance to remedy the issue but after a two month interim they came back and stated the boat worked just fine and suggested it was me that did not know how to trim or operate the boat. I told the young lad that I had been operating and trimming boats when he was still in diapers. I can always learn more and that's why I rely on the help form the expertise I get from this site. I load the boat up pretty heavy and with the Terrova and 3 AGMs in the bow storage area there is a lot of weight up front. When I load it with gear and 3 to 4 fisherman I don't get the performance I would expect out of a 200. The service guy tested it without any load or gear and said he got near the recommended RPM and did not experience any listing to port. He was the only person on board 1/4 tank of gas and no gear. I will get some fresh numbers with the intended load on a trimmed out top RPM and report back. will observe the water flow over the cavitation plate I will look at the Tempest props as wellk
  3. Yamaha F 200 four stroke. Yamaha Reliance 14.25 diameter 17 pitch. Motor mounted in second hole from top.
  4. Looking for recommendations of a Marine service center to install trim tabs on my StarCraft Fishmaster 210.
  5. I just ordered the ipilot link controller for my terrova 112. If the installation goes as planned I will have the ipilot for sale. It was used once last year after new purchase. Let me know if there is any interest.
  6. Thanks guys for the advice. I have a Terrova 112 w I pilot. I will also look at the Ray Marine units for the big mot.or
  7. Please provide me your recommendations. Advice from this site has always been very helpful. Thanks
  8. Thanks to all of you again. Ivan thanks for the tip on Vics, they re very helpful on the phone and intend to help me through this until we get it right. they said I should be getting about 45-46 MPH with a reasonable load. The symptoms s I described to them indicates the engine is mounted to high . Andy from Vics stated that the engine installed too high results in the inability to utilize the full trim thus you do not have enough lift to get the bow up out of the water. He also said on these Starcrafts due to the hull design that you want to get them out of the hole and on plane as quick as possible as they will list if not on plane and at mid range rpms. As many have recommended here lower he engine and try it. Run the boat with your normal intended load and when trimmed out It should be in the 5700 to 5800 rpm range. if not then we try different props. once we get the performance right then he recommended Lenco trim tabs to tweak the ride for leveling loads. He made me feel like there was a path forward. Thanks muskiedreams for your information as well. All very helpl. Plecos for sale. Do you have the same outboard and what hole on the engine is your top bolt. I am on hole 2 from the top and my current prop is a Reliance 14.25 X 17P
  9. Thanks guys. Great information. Mudflat I agree performance data I agree should be similar to what you posted. I agree with you muskiemagnet as well. My buddy runs a 20 ft lund and gets high 40s out of his 150 Yamaha. And skipper I checked the cavitation plate before bringing t to the dealer and it was about 1.5 inches above the point of the hull bottom when trimmed all the way down. From your suggestion it should go down that distance to start with. Thanks again guys, some day I hope to pay you all back.
  10. The boat was finally tested. Water tested with only him on board and he could not get it to list to port, got about 37 mph top speed and said the rpms were about where they should be at 5600. Suggested that I did not trim the boat properly. I was a little disappointed in his analysis to say the least and have over 40 years of experience on the water so I hope his last statement was in error. So I will go to Starcraft next. In the mean time I thought I would test the waters here again as your advice and recommendations have always been welcome. The boat does seem very sensitive to shifts in weight while running. The boat seems very stable when at rest or trolling speeds. When perfectly balanced on the water at rest and powering up it will lean to port significantly . I think the prop needs to be reassessed for performance once the boat is again fully loaded with average load and passengers. Trim tabs, as suggested by you guys, will probably make a world of difference when running and solve most of the listing problems. Top end speed seems to be slow for an aluminum boat with 200 hp Yamaha but they say a lot has to do with the hull design. I used to get over 35 mph with a 21 Arima glass boat that weighed several hundred pounds more than this Starcraft and that was with a 115hp Yamaha. The current prop is a 14.25 diameter with a 17pitch. Please provide me with any suggestions you may have. Especially those that are running Fishmasters on the lake.
  11. thanks I will look into them. bill
  12. Thanks walleye hunter. I'm looking at tabs as well, once I can get the bow up wit the right motor setup then the tabs will work for the rest. What tabs did you put on yours. I'm looking at the Leno brand right now.
  13. I'm not ready to throw the dealership under the bus yet. They have been very responsive a d have committed to make it right. I will wait on passing judgement. It appears that this was a Starcraft prerig
  14. Thanks for all of the advice guys. Boat was taken to the dealer, and Starcraft has also been notified and said that between them and the dealer they would figure it out. It was driving me nuts. Nice stable boat to troll from and fish from but getting to and from was really frustrating. Again thanks for the help and I will post with the info as soon as they figure it out.
  15. I have a brand new 210 StarCraft Fishmaster with a Yamaha F 200 on the back. I have two notable issues with the boat. The boat upon getting up on plane will list to port considerably. Can offset the list by having weight and passengers shift to Starboard side but it I have never experienced this on any of my Arimas with similar hp motors. The motor has a Yamaha Reliance SDS prop with a 14.25 inch diameter and 17 pitch. The motor is mounted on the second hole and antiventilation plate is approximately 1 inch above the bottom of the boat. Other observations include, when trying to trim up, the prop seems to lose its grip on the water or blow out prior to getting any appreciable bow lift and I can not get the bow up to even experience any porpoising. There are three trolling motor AGM batteries up in the bow and a Terrova 112 bow mount trolling motor. . A lot of information here but Need someone with the same boat to compare experiences. thanks in advance for any input. Performance 5300 rpms 33mph gps
  16. Thanks Mike what did you use for your on board charger?
  17. Advice on the battery selection. I need a 36V system for the Terrova 112. Have used Interstates for regular boat battery / starting and house. What is your experience with trolling motor batteries?
  18. Thanks for the info. I purchased the Terrova 112 with the 72 inch shaft. Have not installed it yet.
