    Blacks downrigger release question

    I run rigger cable...blacks...probe...breakaway cable...ball. i have a slight advantage since i run digitroll 10's and can set the water zero wherever i want

    X 2 I'm a firm believer that how the cable brakes when the probe and weight comes out of the water and starts bouncing . For the blacks supporting the probe I have never lost a pobe nock on wood .

    Trolling the finger lakes with Seth greens watching the sonar I will say to partner marking pretty good now . He will start rocking boat side to side or I will hit the full throttle switch on the control King for a bit . Both methods trigger strikes .

    I was fishing the Seneca lake derby . I watch a boat trolling by me with his riggers mounted on a board across the stern I noticed the riggers slowly lifting straight up and slowly back down . I did a double take on that , even caught up with him and I followed him a bit to watch .

    auto stop on walker rigger with braid

    So I was wondering if anyone out there using the walker auto stop has tried to use it on braid instead of stainless cable.  If so how did you put it on?
    I have walkers with stainless cables. The auto stops we're the biggest pain in the a$$ . They are crimp and heat shrink . The heat shrink kept getting tore up . Then I took a small plastic cup cut groves in the sides . Filled the cup with plastic dip . Dip the magnets and cable in the dip and it came out great have not had to mess with the Auto Stop in 3 years now. can't see why that won't work on braids.

    Ma Bell made a phone that was pretty primitive. Looks at smart phones today . Can text talk get on the internet anywhere. Give it time terrorist groups or homegrown terrorist groups. I'll make a plastic gun that's going to work and it's hard to detect. Why should we make it easier for them to use it on us or worst yet your children.

    Hmmm not sure how to take that one, i haven’t been on cayuga long enough to have out done others here yet...but if i were you id get myself some flies in white green and chartreuse combinations Atomik are my go to rigs, but recently a friend fighting cancer has been tying some winners custom for me while he is bored at home on chemo, and some spin and glows on 8 inch spin doctors and focus on middle half of the lake between 60-90 foot deep fishing has been superb,,, if you get out and are getting skunked pm me exactly what you are doing and where ....I have coast guard aux maneuvers Friday am so ill be on water but unavailable after 9 until noonish. If you only have a little time and need to stay near Cornell troll west side north of ithaca yacht harbor 200 feet of water at depth previously stated...not the hottest spot but produced some for me this weekend on a prospect run
