beautiful looking king . -
keuka 7/16 went out with my buddy and his son to see how Keuka lake fishing would be . left from Keuka state park at 5 30. we went 5 for 8 today all lake trout and were release to bite another day. the fish were small ,2 lb to 4 lbs . they all seem to have empty bellies . there is a big difference from Cayuga lake fish to Keuka lake fish . there was more face book time for my buddies son . we hardly mark bait but did mark small schools of fish all the way to the point . by 10 30 the recreational boats started zooming all around so we called it a morning . the water fleas were just about none . surface temp was 73 . we ran two rig rods with suttons and mi scorpion spoons one high one low with each rod doing about the same amount of hits . gps speed was 1.7 to 2.4 .

the flea gobs come from bringing in the lines and have to strip them of fleas . the wire rods cut threw the fleas and they fall where ever . when i was waxing up my kicker i notice the water intake had fleas in the small holes of the screen wasn't plug but made me think the kicker must had to drink a few , the kicker ran two 12 hour days i look at the i/o intake holes they are bigger and didn't see any fleas there but the i/o didn't run much .

Luck ?

yes that is lucky , did the rod holder brake ? i guess you didn't have bananas aboard the boat -

sounds like Les just found your problem. the braid is spinning on the spool , witch makes it look like your drag is slipping. i put elec tape on the spool so the braid seats into the tape , or you can use 50ft of mono line then the braid .

nice bow and brown Les and Mark, glad you guys got out for some quality time . we stayed mostly on the east side to the middle of the lake where we did so well for the past few weeks . it was a job with the wind, water currents and fleas . Deans Cove is pain for sure . we spent two days out of Long Point the state did a good job with this launch with as busy as it was easy in and out there .

some nice fish caught to win their divisions , congrats to the winners ... Saturday we did 33 lakers the top two weighed in at 7.12 and 8 lbs and that ended to be the two biggest for the weekend . sunday we did 14 lakers nothing over 6 lbs . i have never had so many tangles in my life today . made me start to think why do i fish ,LOL ended up just running the two rig rods to keep us from going crazy ..

they did the trees at my place too . they clean up the brush and left the cut up logs too, they sat there for two weeks, then i gave the logs to a guy that burns wood . people on the road still have piles of wood in there yard after 6 weeks now . so i would say the logs are yours to clean up and yes they sure do leave a ugly tree when they are done . i ask the tree cutter to even up the tree he said they only contract to open up the power lines ...

never tried tying line direct to a spoon ,just with stick baits . don't you get line twist with out a swivel . must work the proof is hanging on the board. -
when you fished with bandrus1 did you launch from myers park or make the run down to plant from long point

was thinking the same thing while i was reeling the wire dipy rod in and watching the lighting bolts in the sky and standing in monsoon rain and wind . after the thunder past it got calm waters and steady rain with a brake in it before it started up again ..
