  1. You might try "huntingny.com" some one there might know of a place to shoot.
  2. Bout Time, those are the 2 wire plugs I meant. thanks for the pic.
  3. I always used 87 octane in my "94" & "95" Yamaha o/b 9.9 & 225 hp. with no problems at all. Two yrs. ago I started using 89 octane & they do run smoother & respond a bit faster. I do use 4oz. of K-1oo every other tank full.
  4. That's different! lol
  5. Any 2 wire connector should work as long as pos. & neg. match up. Maybe a 2 wire male/female used on a car. My Big Jon's have a regular 2 wire house plug on them that plug into an out let box under the gunnel. I just plug & unplug when I take them on & off.
  6. You should see the crap that comes out of the Niagara when they pull the ice boom out of Erie besides the ice!
  7. Congrats to you too!
  8. Congrats to you all! A great day for you !
  9. One nice sunny warm day & everyone is ready to get going! Can't wait but I think it might be awhile.
  10. FYI, Check out "Mads outdoor products" in Harrison Mi. they have rod trees at a very good price.
  11. Tahhero, I have had no problems with the winch at all. I put it in free wheel to take the boat off & winch it on. I replaced my frayed steel cable with a 2" strap a few yrs. ago & everthing still works well.
  12. My boat wts. about 5000#. I have a Dutton Lainson(DL) winch mod. # SA 9000 & it pulls the boat on with no problem. The trailer is a roller/bunk combo. DL. also makes a SA 12000 model winch. You can also double the winch cable to the boat with a pulley on the boat & back to do winch anchor post which will increase the pulling power but cut the forward movement in half. On my power cable from the battery I installed a 12v outlet with spring loaded outdoor cover & mounted to the hitch frame,. From there to the winch I made up an extension cord in between. I carry the cord in the truck & plug it in & out as needed to load the boat. Just an idea.
  13. I have never done this but am thinking about doing it. From what I have been seeing & reading you have to get the lure/ metal up to 350*, which they say can be done in an oven.. Just a suggestion if you try again. Good luck. I just got some blades that shape what/how do you use them? I made worm harnesses out of mine but they only have the one top hole it them.
  14. Never ever figure out, what you spend on any hobby! It will scare the hell out of you. I figure my fish cost me around $1,800-$2,000 a pound & a one deer cost about the same or more. Just enjoy it, we only go around once in this life & you can't take it with you! I have never seen a trailer full of money & toys being pulled by a hurst on its way to a cemetary! I always tell people it took me 3/4 of my life to make my $$$ & now I have 1/4 left to spend it. I had a friend that said if there were 2 nickles left for his kids to fight over when he died , he did something wrong!
  15. X2 on this idea , this is what I did & it works great.

  19. I went from a 5" to a 7" two yrs. ago & to me its big enough. Jmo, but I would go with a 7-8". I guess it also depends on how much room you have to mount it in.
  20. Check out "walleyefishing.com" under boats for sale list, lots of them there.
