X2, agree with Rolmops, Also look on this site in the classified section there were/are a few good kickers for sale here. Long shaft/short shaft is normally a matter of 3"-4" unless you are talking extra long shaft (sailboats).
Hot oil, Pa always said, " Never cover your fish when frying", if using a deep fryer when they float + 1 min. they are done ,drain on a paper towel & if you don't eat them asap put them in the oven on low & they will stay warm & crisp. I also use the golden dip or Itialian bread crumbs. jmho.
Might want to check out "Brennanharbour.com". My brother & friends were there in late June last yr. & are giong back this yr. . They have tried places on the French river & weren't real inpressed. They go with an all inclusive package when they go. I beleive their costs were $8 - 1,200 for the wk.& they had pretty good fishing. Just a suggestion, there are so many places up there. Have a good time & good luck!
Don't hand your brother a beer & watch him open it as he sets your $90 rod & reel combo down the same time a fish hits it! Now at the bottom of lake erie in 70 fow off Van bruen pt!
Do you still get the off to the side direction if this 10oz. plate is used or is that aspect lost?
Answered my own question, just google Diver diggers & a u tube video comes up.
Not sure if yours are like mine ,but if you take the rod holder off the mounting plate (1 bolt on underside of plate) there is an allen set screw up inside that is used for adjusting maybe that needs tightening up.
Bass pro has their own which are like those. I have one but I would suggest one with the bigger holes in the netting. Mine has 3/8 -1/2 " holes & the hooks get caught in it . I feel bigger holes would be better.
Today was the day! Did anyone shoot a shot ? I shot right at 12 noon, 2 shots one for the people that didn't shoot any. I hope "King Andy" heard the noise in Albany! Support the 2nd. Amend. & repeal the Safe act. I did hear a few other shots around the area here on time.
I have a walk around cuddy & trailer every where. I normally carry 12 -15 rods in it any suggestions on how to transport other than throwing the rods in the cuddy piled & tangled up?? I don't want to drill holes through the sides of the cuddy. I was thinking of something like a gun rack or rod rack configuration. Any ideas. Thanks
