Nice job hookem- also wanted to thank everyone again for info. After the front passed through thurs, the water cleared up a bit and the walleyes started cooperating. Got 4 fri am... Nothing huge but nice to get some action after a slow week. Most action was trolling 30-35fow Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

I am here now for the week and has been very slow for me as well. I am not a walleye guy but staying here with family and been trying for anything using worms/shiners etc. trolling has been difficult with all the floating weeds everywhere. Picked up a walleye casting sticks but that has been it. If anyone has any pointers for catfish or anything to keep the kids entertained shoot me a pm..... Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

You can try under the bridge by french creek marina. I have also seen pike/smallies right out from the dock at fair wind. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

Sold / Closed Pro Guide 175WT Updated pics/ NEW PRICE
JOE ESOX replied to chuck527's topic in Boats for Sale
I have this same model boat/same year and have been using it hard for 4 years now. I love it. I trailer all over from Chatauqua to ADK's/St. Larry and have had zero problems with it. I also mess with trout/salmon in Lake O once in a while. I am not affiliated with the seller...just wanted to put my two sense in for anyone checking out this ad. Can't go wrong with this rig at this price.... -

Chautauqua Musky Season

Thanks for the clarification re: the minnows Larry. I did check out the MI69 site before posting but did not see anything in relation to the tourney other than date and rules. If anyone else can chime in re: times/signup location/entry fee that would be appreciated. I thought I remembered seeing it somewhere before but now i can't find it. -
Chautauqua Musky Season
JOE ESOX replied to mostlymuskies's topic in Musky, Tiger Musky & Pike (ESOX)
Also- since there is a good discussion going here, what's the skinny on the June 27 tourney? I was a muskies inc member at the beginning back when the meetings were at the honkey tonk joint but life got in the way and I have been out of touch. I see it is open to non-members but what is the entry fee? Do some of the proceeds go toward the baitfish fund like years ago? If not, is the club doing anything to raise funds for feeding musky fry? Inquiring minds want to know. thanks -
Chautauqua Musky Season
JOE ESOX replied to mostlymuskies's topic in Musky, Tiger Musky & Pike (ESOX)
I would happily participate as i have been meaning to start keeping a log of my season to try and identify trends, track conditions, etc. I'm sure I wouldn't be as much help as some of the heavy hitters out that way as I am a multispecies guy and my season is spent on several different bodies of water. I usually only get to CHQ a handful of times each year. I do believe that Ivan has some valid points but i will keep an eye out here and if this comes to fruition than I am in. Chautauqua Musky Season
JOE ESOX replied to mostlymuskies's topic in Musky, Tiger Musky & Pike (ESOX)
It was nice today but i was stuck in the office! I was there tues... Very slow during cold/rain in the AM and had a few bites once the skies cleared up later in the day. Was funny trolling with a few other boats around with no action and all of a sudden myself and 2 other boats all hooked up at the same time. The fish in the area all said to each other "ok on the count of 3 lets all bite!".. And then it shut off again. Fascinating.... Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United -
Thanks- i checked out that site and they carry a heavy duty bracket that looks to be just the ticket Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

Can anyone recommend a spare tire carrier for my trailer that won't disintegrate after one season? The last two i had were from Harbor Freight (guess i didn't learn the first time) and they both completely fell apart. I carry the spare vertically on the frame of the trailer rather than laying flat on the tongue. thanks

Chautauqua Musky Season

We got one a few years ago up by mayville that looked just like that. And nice 45 yesterday Larry. I was trolling through that area earlier in the afternoon and got nothin.. Ran south and went 2 for 5 with biggest only at 34". Not sure what the problem was.... hooks were razor sharp. After my bait was spit back at me the 3rd time i damn near pulled a mike iaconelli...
