I usually try and run it 5 feet above the thermocline. It doesn't go off everyday, but days it does you will usually get multiple strikes off it.

A complete joke? were paid to take ppl out and catch fish. The salmon don't always cooperate, so if you have 4 or 5 guys on the boat, you try and make sure everyone catches a fish. When a kid is full of smiles when he catches a lake trout than guess what I'm happy as hell with that lake trout! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
Well as a first mate on a charter boat and reading your reports all summer lake trout is something you might want to start fishing for. Lake trout saves our ass up here especially since we don't get the consistent salmon action all year. Don't try and take a blow at ppl trying to make a living up here. Keep to the post topic. Even if we did the pen rearing and they stock more fish up here, does not mean the salmon will show up here in July. Our major runs for salmon that come up the rivers don't come till late August. Salmon that show up in July r salmon chasing the bait and good water temperatures

The salmon migrate from the west! Some years it's is good out here in July. But more often this time of year there is usually always a lull in the salmon action until the major pack shows up. Yes they don't stock as many salmon here. Just things haven't come together in July for the salmon to really show up here.

Yeah browns are really non existence at the moment, at best even the charters are only getting 1 or 2, everyone is going for Lakers.

Went out on the boat yesterday water was so muddy only had one brown on. Today decided to go down to our camp and cast spoons from shore. Right move, all 3 of us had our limit of browns in the first hr and a cpl surprise fish to boot. My friend Jason got a gorgeous spawned out walleye and I got a beautiful 10lb Atlantic that gave an amazing areal and running show.

Me and my buddy had our limit in two hrs Monday night off the mountain. 120-130 ft. Fish are stacked right tight against the wall. Silver fish out there to.

Brown trout fishing has been almost nonexistent, 1 here 1 there very slow pick. My buddy went out yesterday fished from drowned island to lighthouse, 3 browns and 1 bass.

It's all part of the wall off the stony point light house, the finger is the tip of it, and the mountain is alittle bulge that come off of the wall few miles off the lighthouse. If u have a countour map on your gps it helps allot because it comes up quick.
Not sure, I mate on a charter boat and thank god for the lakers some days, if they weren't there some days would be real tough. I think ppl don't like them because there easier to catch and there not a salmon lol
