  1. Great stuff, smiles all around, a true ambassador to the fishing community.
  2. Looks like its on, I'll be up there next weekend. Congrats on a nice limit!
  3. Fished Quinte on a full moon one year. Moon rising in morning. Catching was non stop. Full moon deer hunting, for me, hunt the evening. Daybreak and full moon not good at all. Weather conditions trump moon.
  4. There are fish out there, you need to put some time in to find them and stay on them. I'll be up north next week .
  5. Try these, hevi shot blend, patterns were far above any other shell out there.
  6. Do they sell non-ethanol? If not, where can you get it close to Mud Bay? Thanks
  7. Nice to see you getting some Beltzville fish. Wish I could do the night thing but driving home is the tough part.
  8. Nicely done!
  9. One key to leadcore and braid, soft rods. Gotta give somewhere.
  10. Check eBay, got mine there.
  11. Now that you got the ocean view, how about some fish shots, you're slackin. Times a wastin! Keep your ears to the ground for any eyes showing up.
  12. Not an authority by any means but I believe I read about the muskie moving to the lake during summer at the head of the river some time back. There was a large die off about 5 years ago. I did see a photo of a large specimen caught at grenadier island late summer by a guy trolling, early 2000's.
  13. Congrats on biggest so far, I'm sure it will fall behind some double digits soon enough! Waiting patiently for an " Orange belly or walleye magic sighting. I've got 15 rods ready to get wet on the 23rd.
  14. Sorry to hear of the loss of you dad, hope the sale works out for you, my pop and I shared many days on the water, sorely missed for sure. Good luck.
  15. I saw 2 bucks yesterday on the way to my hidden woods food plots. One was a nice 8 and yes, looked like a lot of horn already for time of year. I'm busy killing and clearing small spots for greens for late season. Tried this last year for first time, I had daily visits on whitetail no plow stuff all season, stayed green until snow flew and deer were in there heavy at the end of March. Cameras do wonders keeping track of the deer.
  16. Tough to stay out in the sun all day on a warm day. I finally got a bimini top for my small rig, extended my trips a few hours for sure. There always seems to be a king bite around noon till 2pm, at least for me anyway. Gotta love the multi port fishing available to guys that trailer. I've been from oak orchard to henderson fishing, always like seeing new spots. Good for you on your multi species journey.
  17. Excellent story to read, gotta try jigging them here in jersey one day.
  18. I've used wire with no issues, it's a copper set sold by a local merchant. I believe it's 600 ft. My brother refuses to touch it. Maybe the fact I have to thumb the spool because of lack of spool tension, even with the clicker on, is causing the copper to backlash. 600 ft of copper is a lot of weight on the spool tension control. Probably a reel issue. I have no issues with 25 year old diawas with wire. They work fine.
  19. Yes, it uncoils into a huge backlash. I have to thumb it as I can't crank down anymore on the tension control button. It justs uncoils several layers are loose then backlashes.
  20. I've got a question on copper also, how come the copper comes off the reel like its spring loaded? It's a fregging nightmare to deploy, bought as a unit , okuma clarion loaded with copper and backing. I'm a leadcore guy too, so someone's advice I would be thankful for using the copper.

  22. Very nice unit, always liked that park because it seemed well kept and quiet when I rented cottages. The only down is its not close enough to the water for me. Good luck with sale, should move quickly, great unit .
  23. I gotta say, your livin my dream up there, if I was only closer. Continued success for you, enjoy all the reports.
  24. You may want to watch a video called "kayaking Lake Ontario" on utube. Guy is 4 miles out in a thunderstorm. He was real lucky winds were behind him.
