  1. My codolences also, good luck this season.
  2. Great fish , looks good for my arrival Saturday for a week, can't wait.
  3. Quick update , Oswego and Rochester are only boat US providers on southeastern shoreline. I called the Sodus phone number and you get the Rochester boat. Hope it helps.
  4. I guess it's a port to port situation. From my conversations with the boat us fella, they are not able to compete financially. That's why they pulled out of point breeze. If the sheriff is more than willing, it would be good info to know before arriving how to access their services. I never knew about that service until I needed a tow. Food for thought if planning a trip to look into it.
  5. Boat US only has a boat at Rochester and Oswego and maybe the northeast section. They can't compete with local sheriff depts who work for free. I believe they monitor a VHF channel . I had to use them when I was at the oak last year, called boat US and they were an hour away, he showed 90 minutes later after sheriff had me have way in. It would be a great idea to get some info on each port with sheriff or fire dept. info for water rescue help. Any ideas out there?
  6. What happened to tweet section ? No reports for awhile now.
  7. Buy an air power brake bleeder for brakes, best thing I have bought, I can't back up unless I use solenoid to block pressure. They work great.
  8. Quinte numbers are down from 2000's time frame. I experienced fishing unparalleled in 2004 to 2006. I saw a camp owner flip out over the large filleted bodies from one days fishing. I took smaller fish to fillet and pictures for trophies. The Internet was a large reason that the fall fishery got exposed. Fast forward to 2013 and friends of mine don't troll anymore there cause they blank most days and jig for 2lb fish, lots of them , but the 8 to 11 lb fish are not at the numbers they where in 2006.
  9. Hey PaP, also a fisher from pa, use to live in saylorburg and fished beltsville and the Wallenpaupack lake. No longer interested in late night fishing, you can take a few nice eyes from the pack at dawn for an hour then it shuts down till nightfall. I'm also looking to try otisco for eyes. You cannot beat Quinte in the fall, best fishing for eyes in my lifetime. From 2004 till 06 it was amazing. Also fished black river bay for some nice eyes. Best thing about these areas is daytime bites.
  10. Drop an inch pitch at the most. You may be at your sweet spot if your full fishing set up included other passengers. I dropped 3 in pitch and gained about 1000 rpm. Also went with a 4 blade for holding plane.
  11. On the subject of the scupper, I believe I have same units, are they piped to inside overflow ? Interested in what you find after the fact for future reference. Glad everyone came out safely. Good luck rest of the season.

  15. Mr clean, great thread you've started. Question is do they sell non ethanol gas on the bay or close by. I will be staying on the bay 3rd week of July and my 90 grady does not get ethanol ever. I still have the original tank and really don't want problems. Thanks for your time.

  18. Boated 26 over the weekend , 4 in the teens, dropped a couple good ones. All on bloods out of newburg. Back up tomorrow for last shot of this year.
  19. Fished Tuesday below Newburgh, boated 12 fish , biggest 18lbs. Blood worms were the ticket. Soaked live and chunk herring , not a touch. Back up for fri- sat- Sunday stay.
  20. See guys trolling and can say I never see them boat fish at newburg. I've tried a couple times with plugs and had no luck. I wish I could find a bait besides bloods, we've tried a lot of things and they catch 0 fish for us. Tried jigging thumper tails yesterday and nothing there either. Soaked live eels for hours last year and 1 fish total.
  21. Finished day with 23 boated south of Newburgh bridge. No real size this trip. Heading up next week again. All on bloods and sands.
  22. Hit the river at 9am, 19 boated, most juveniles , 4 in 5 to 8 lb class. Will update later.
