The nephew is currently working a boat off the New Jersey coast, a Co worker ran into him last week, supposedly nephew is returning to the show next year, and added they make little money off the show, besides Huk handing out outerwear. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
I had my Rude water pee hole plugged last week with mud, insect nest. I always carry some hedge trimmer line to snake up in there. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
Was out a few times on Chaumont this week, really small perch screwing up my sets, other than that, a lot of nothing, saw Saiff trolling out of the river At Chaumont, things must be slow at BRB also. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
Nice bunch of fish[emoji1303], we splashed our boat down in Marlboro on Monday, fished for 6 midday hours, had 7 hits and landed 5 schoolies ,too cold yet another week for sure, heading back mid week next week. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
Bloods is preferred worm, but they both work, trolling a waste of time in Newburgh area, we’ve tried lots of baits, eels, liver, cut bait, herring, save your money for bloods, other baits don’t get a sniff. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
I’ll be slipped again in Marlboro, been fishing area for about 15 years, Mother’s Day weekend is always a good time to fish, drifting bloods and sands on the channel edges, good sunny days gets them cranked up as the water warms, can get them anytime of day, follow the tide changes. You can try Fair Haven on little sodus bay, at one time I fished Browns right off the state ramp at the entrance to the breakewalls, we never entered the lake. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
I’ve got some Decka batteries I can’t kill, Cabelas AGM’s and boat tarps are junk, had them and wasted a lot of money. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
I’ve had luck with harnesses in the spring bite, along with plastic worms in the bay areas, one of the early MWC tourney winners ran large silver blades and I mimicked the same rig for some fish, but that was a few years ago and water quality has changed since.
