What a bad day ??? Lost alot of fish, broke a spro coastlock swivel on a nice fish. Also broke off 4 fish on 30lb test . I need to stop horseing in big fish. Most hits came in 90 - 110 fow, lost alot of money in gear. On 8/28 went to mexico , the lake was very rough. I have a 18ft lund and knew it was to rough for my boat. I met a guy , doug (fish depot) there. He told me to follow him to a different spot up by henderson where the lake would be a little calmer. I followed him up and launched my boat, fished 90 fow to 120 fow and went 6 for 10. Most fish on riggers 86 to 80 feet down. 2 hits on dipsey 250 ft. limit out On 8/29 fished out of mexico by plant for only 4 hours. 6 for 8, Limit out and off water by 11:30. MOST FISH IN 90 TO 120 FOW. Riggers 86 ft down and dipseys 269 . I want to thank doug (fish depot) for showing me a new spot when the lake gets too rough. I have a 4 hour drive up here to fish. I told doug to call me any time and I will show him my striper spots on the hudson river , where I live. Fishermen are great people and like to help out other fishermen. ====================

  6. Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name: ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s):8/21 -8/23 Time on Water:8 hrs a day Weather/Temp:nice Wind Speed/Direction: Waves: good Surface Temp: Location: LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: 23 Total Boated:15 Species Breakdown:2 browns,1 coho , rest kings Hot Lure: spinny and flies (hammer) Trolling Speed: 2.5 Down Speed: Boat Depth: 90 ft -140 ft Lure Depth: 90ft-125 ft ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS On 8/21 fished out of oswego, for the first 4 hours didn't move a rod. Tried 120 out to 350 ft. About 1:00 got first king, 120 fow, 110 down on rigger. At 100 fow to 90 fow started to mark huge pods.Got 2 more kings on rigger, dragging the bottom. Then the wire dipsey takes a hit, my buddy bert takes the rod and lands a big brown. Once in the boat, I weighed the fish , kicking around 18 lbs. Then I knew we had a derby fish. So we trolled back to wrights and hit one more king, dipsey 300ft, all spinny and hammer flies. We ended the day with 9 hits and 5 fish. At woody's that brown was 17lbs, first place. On 8/22 we fished out of Mexico by plant.100 fow to 140 fow. 9 hits and 6 fish, no derby fish. All hits on dipseys 310ft and riggers 110 ft down.WHITE AND GREEN DOTS ON FLASHERS AND HAMMER FLIES. Had a hell of a hit on wire dipsy, broke the (fish on) rod holder and the pole went in the water. Lucky I had a thin rope tied to my rod. Picked up the rod and landed the king.I lost a rod 5 years ago, so now I always clip a rope to my dipsey rods. On 8/23 fished for 4 hours, 6 hits and landed 4. same program as 8/22. I have pictures of the fish on my i phone, but need to figure out to post them. ====================

  9. Had same problem 5 years ago. I have two fish finders on my boat. I turned off all my electronics. Then turn on fish hawk. Fish hawk was working fine. Then I turned on one electronic at a time. I found out the one of my fish finders (hummingbird) was fighting with the fish hawk. So now when I use my fish hawk, I leave off the hummingbird. HOPE THIS HELPS
