  1. There are kings mixed in with the lakers, you just need to get your lure past the lakers. Guy pulled two yesterday. Speed didn't deter the LT either.
  2. I was one of the boats out deeper. Stupid easy laker bite going on. We actually had 5 fish hit within seconds of each other. The funny thing is we were only running 4 rods. Doubled on a rigger rod with a slider. Landed all 5 fish and it was only my wife and I. Fire Drill.
  3. Just wanted to wish everyone a great and safe 2015 fishing season! See you on the water.
  4. Make sure you tell Wally that you're going to the room to have a drink. He has hootch that he willingly shares with his "drinking buddies". Great guy!
  5. That fact that someone would steal that reel sickens me. I like to think those people are few and far between, but I'm beginning to believe that might not be the case. Some people's lack of conscience is truly disturbing.
  6. How much ice in the harbor? Hoping Wilson thaws soon.
  7. Better to live vicariously than not at all I guess. Nice fish Rich.
  8. How do you think an Orange baby spin doc with a orange dolphin spoon or orange fly would work?
  9. You gave him a home that most pups can't even dream of. Show the appreciation by bringing the next into your life.
  10. Thanks! That's the mount I need. Guess I'll need to specify when ordering.
  11. Can someone who has these tell me how they mount to your boat. I'm trying to figure if I can mount these to the 1 1/2" rail around the top of my cabin. Thanks Doug
  12. I'm pretty happy at Wilson. It has showers, water, electric and cable TV in addition to weekend entertainment and some great bands and a very secure area. While I'm paying quite a bit more per year, having salmon available from May to September is nice. In Oswego, I hear the salmon may not show up until June or July most years. While I can't walk to food or hardware stores, they are only a mile or two away. Of course, your brown trout fishing looks remarkable early on. Still contemplating whether to consider a camper in lieu of staying on the boat every night. Thanks for the information and insights. Keep them coming!
  13. Good to hear you're helping the wildlife John. I spend lots of $$$ helping mine get through the winter to the tune of 100 lbs of corn a day and more for the small critters and birds. Birds of a feather.
  14. Already have that Bruce. I'm moored at Wilson with all the amenities. Very nice marina. I will need to find a laundromat nearby. Bunch of great guys there, on weekends anyway. Just wondering what I might be missing for an extended stay to make it more convenient and hospitable.
  15. Sitting at home on the last, hopefully, frigid day of the year, I'm thinking about fishing and retirement in a few years. Living in PA, I'm planning on some extended stays on the boat for a week or two at a time. I've never seen it discussed, but have any of you spent extended periods living on your boat? It has a heated cabin, cuddy, stove and sink. Any insights into what you do to make the stay more comfortable or convenient? Do you sit out the rough days, for calmer waters? Any conveniences that you deem necessary? Just trying to plan ahead and daydream.
  16. I had no idea you were such a good writer Warren! You spin a good yarn. Thanks for a diversion on a cold winter day.
  17. Harvey's weights are always on my riggers. Run true with no problems.
  18. Can I get an Amen to that!!!
  19. A guy from this forum, Polar Bear, told me about them several years ago even before I was a member here and they have saved a few days for me when things got tough.
  20. It works and there are days where it took the majority of our fish.
  21. Our two rare cats. Blue and Black and a Pink one.
  22. I had to snip and save them
  23. Guys, Any idea who has the best price on the Cisco electric planer motors? Thanks, Doug.
