    They are 44 inches. Each reel has new line never seen water. New spool on the one reel. New pulleys on top. These mast are heavy duty twice the thickness than downrigger booms with welded ends not plastic. Do not have the mounting plates. $150 plus shipping.

    Just drop the probe below the surface and calibrate it with your surface speed on your gps. Fish hawk recommends doing this every so often.

    I was looking to get a Yamah T9.9 kicker for my 18 ft fiberglass CC. I went to the dealer and he had one and they go for $2975. Is that a fair price.

    A lot of people don't realize that. They say I can see it on my fishfinder. But depending on speed and depth and the angle you can be way shallower than what the FF shows. But how does the FX 4 D compensate for the angle.

    I was on Lake Champlain this past weekend and every launch site on the NY side was full of bass fisherman as they had huge tournaments going on each day. It doesn't seem right that they can have these huge tournaments out of season. Then they take up all the room in the state launches. It's very difficult to get your boat in the water if you can even find a parking spot. I know they pay taxes too. But to have these bass fishing orginizations set up at the launches and take over for the weekend isn't fair to other fisherman and pleasure cruisers. Worst yet when they move in and take over smaller lakes that only have one launch. I don't know what the answer is but something needs to be done. Maybe hold their tournaments and weigh ins at private marinas. Limit how many at each launch. All I know it can be frustrating to show up at a launch to see it over taken by some bass organization for a tournament and there is no room left. Thanks for letting me vent.LOL

    It would defeat the purpose to not have it calibrated. Wouldn't make much sense to have a probe that isn't reading an acuarate speed. It says right in the manual to drop the probe a foot or two and calibrate the probe with the surface speed on your GPS.

    If it's the garelick 9.5 inch travel one its rated for 169 lbs. they list for $275. I lucked out and picked one up a new one on eBay this winter for $95 during the off season. They do make one with 15 inch travel and 175 lb max weight. It Is well built for sure.
