Cannon uni troll downrigger mounts
G-Daddy replied to dane's topic in Questions About Trout & Salmon Trolling?
Is there a lot of play between the rodholder and gimbal mount? Is the rodholder stainless steel? If yes to both, you can buy a vinyl liner from C E Smith that will fit down inside the rodholder to make the fit tighter. If not then - ????????. If the cross rod that the gimbal slots fit into is bent you may be need to replace the rodholder and make sure they are thru bolted and use metal backing plates. -

Wire keeps jumping off spool. help please
G-Daddy replied to ducks517's topic in Tackle and Techniques
If you let your divers out against the drag rather than thumbing the reel, the wire will stay tighter. We caught one fish on Friday evening just letting more wire out going from 280 - 310. Fish hit right at 300. -

Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name: Li'l Bit ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s): Time on Water: 5:30 to 3:00 Weather/Temp: HOT!!!! Wind Speed/Direction: not enough Waves: small Surface Temp: 74 up to 86 Location: LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: 23 Total Boated: 13 Species Breakdown: kings and steel Hot Lure: everything we tried Trolling Speed: 2.5 - 3.5 Down Speed: 2.2 Boat Depth: 140 425 Lure Depth: 20 - 120 ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS Last day of this trip for us. Ran out to about 200 ft and set up a north troll. Marked some bait and fish on the way out and made the turn into shallower water when we got nothing going north. Caught out first two between 360 - 325 heading SE. That was the key for us all day. Finished with several teenagers with our big fish at 21. Mostly a diver bite today with spinnies and flies - colors did not seem to matter much. We just had to get them out 310 on a 2 setting with Walkers 107. Big fish came on a 42 d spoon parked at 120. We are done for this trip but we will be back in about 10 days. ==================== [ Post made via iPhone ]

If you use the cleaning station please make sure your fish are ground up before leaving. We used it late yesterday and found the grinder was not cleared. It took about an hour to get someone else's mess cleaned up. [ Post made via iPhone ]

Here's a really good forum for that type of question. Be warned, however, you will be asked for make and model, serial number, year, boat brand, etc. http://forums.iboats.com/forum.php

We fished really hard when we could get on the lake. Came in after 9 pm both Friday and Saturday. We'll be up again in about two weeks and will try to stop by then. We usually monitor 68 and 16. -
Took my grandson out at Point Breeze on Saturday and he hauled this in
