  2. I've got one cannon and one scotty. Both work fine, but the scotty ferrule is getting some grooves worn in it. No problems with either after more than four seasons. Catches are mounted to the sides of my Unitroll 10's
  3. I crank 14's on my unitrolls and that ishard work.
  4. I sent my wife there for coated cable a couple summers ago. From how she described the place I wouldn't have thought their overhead was that high.
  5. I've only ever used it with mono so I don't know.
  6. Most of the boats I see with outriggers use them to fly flags.

  9. Our best this year was a NK NBK Copper and we lost our last one.
  10. What happens is the mono line stretches under pressure. Then when you get the board in and release the pressure, the released pressure will work its way down the line and relaxed diameter will eventually return, causing breakage of the plastic reels as the line expands.
  11. A lot of guys on the Chesapeake use .080 weed eater line. You do have to be careful about winding it onto plastic reels under pressure though.

  13. We use a spring at the boat and then don't need a snubber on the tow line.

  16. Went up there with a buddy about 30 years ago. Told him on the way home that I was glad I went and it was quite an experience but I didn't need to do it again.
  17. We used springs that we got at Lowes and brass rings. No pulleys.
  18. Drained mine on Thursday. Not hard at all. Unscrew 5 blue plugs and watch that water drains. Make sure rust hunks don't block the drains. Takes about 5 minutes.

  21. We used to drive up to Rochester and take the parkway across to the Oak. Now we get off 390 at Mt Morris and come up 36, 63 and 98. The roads are pretty good for two lanes and we are not beating our equipment into oblivion.
  22. I would think that size of the mature fish has more to do with the age (3 YO vs 4 YO or even 5 YO) than genetics.
