  1. The study Chris posted found just the opposite for ricochets, actually.
  2. You can catch Rob here too: http://www.legacysportfishing.com/
  3. Interesting read, Chris. Thanks for posting. I hunt in both counties and I'm most concerned with my neighboring "spray & pray" shotgun hunters in Honeoye. I know a perfect vantage point in Wayne county for my 30-06, safe & secluded but a bit too far for my 870...
  4. Bugzapper fly swatter!
  5. Yes - looks like both Wayne and Ontario were added for rifle but crossbows are out again: http://www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/35010.html
  6. I do love All Seasons but that's two hours east of Sodus
  7. I get a Canadian tower frequently - while in Theresa, NY. Drives me nuts... I carry a Garmin Dakota 20 that I downloaded a freeware NYS Political Boundaries overlay to, shows county lines now as well as the international border.
  8. Wow - that's one handy Norwegian with a Victorinox...
  9. I started butterflying them last year and it works great. You can also leave the skin, add the marinade of your choice to the flesh side, close it like a book and grill. Works great on fish small enough to grill whole!
  10. Gambler would know; he's the laker expert. Jolly was out Sunday afternoon from 4-8pm & had a steady pick of lakers with some steelhead mixed in, as well as a nice 17 lb king. Had marks on the bottom the whole time but the sun was blazing & not a cloud in the sky.
  11. It's the envelope icon at the top of your screen...
  12. We were out of Sandy yesterday afternoon, west of port and although bad enough, the fleas weren't anywhere near as bad as what you ran into. The flies found us as well.
  13. You also have the option of making your own mold of the lure using a lost wax casting. There's a bunch of videos on Youtube but this is a good one (and they're a local business too) : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=irrlZnu8Elc
  14. A club of some sort is a good thing if you ever keep fish for eating or tournament weigh-in. It's more humane for the eaters and prevents blood loss when every ounce counts.
  15. Very cool, Rick. My grandfather used to take me out fishing in St. Andrews Bay, Panama City Beach - good memories.
  16. You can find nice printed copies at the tackleshops sometimes. Got one in the boat & one in the car.
  17. Try here: http://www.katom.com/037-47630.html I got the 10" cimeter for Christmas & I know a few more of the LOU guys have the 12" version. "That's not a knife..."
