  1. You do good work, Chad. Thank you.
  2. The Chicago Sun-Times ran a piece by Neil Steinberg today (as News, rather than Opinion) that contained the sentence "Guns are part of the right-wing lunatic fringe of fear, the Obama-loathing, government-hating, minority-despising, science-scoffing quarter of Americans existing in a shadowy permanent grief state over the 1950s, over a white-bread America where they were king that never was and never will be". There's no arguing with that kind of closed mind. A professional politician, on the other hand, is generally interested in power (money, control, etc...) and self-preservation. Support the ones that vote your interests and vote out those that don't. Register and vote! One vote may not make a difference but how many thousands don't bother, thinking it will make no difference? Cuomo wants to do better than his daddy. Some of our representatives let themselves be bullied and some couldn't wait to sign on. Vote out the people that betrayed you.
  3. Good times, Joe!
  4. I have a Ranger similar to Jolly's that I'm very happy with: http://www.dickssportinggoods.com/product/index.jsp?productId=11468996&cp=4406646.4413993.4414792.4414811.4414947 LOU member "mostlymuskies" was able to offer special pricing to members on a couple models of Beckman nets and they're exceptional. I think this is the one I got: http://www.beckmannet.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=74
  5. We've got four as well. They're not great quality but they've been perfectly usable for two seasons now with no failures. I like my Convector much better but it's also twice the cost.
  6. Yes. Yes, I do. Drowning/hypothermia still an issue...
  7. Both will work but I'd go with the 30s if you're getting a good price.
  8. It's from Torpedo Diver. Here's the old thread: http://www.lakeontariounited.com/fishing/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=30741&p=209258&hilit=torpedo#p209258
  9. Counting down til we can hit the water again.
  10. I like the look of these. Drop Captain Rick note to see if he has any available: http://www.lakeontariounited.com/fishing/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=30715
  11. Popular, inexpensive combos are Okuma Convectors (20 to 30 size) on Okuma poles and Diawa Sealines on Ugly Sticks. Search the old threads for previous discussions.
  12. They haven't figured out the specifics yet so so costs have not come up yet.
  13. All three of your "simple limits" were ALREADY illegal in New York. Fully automatic weapons and silencers have been illegal for decades most places in the country, except under very strict federal licensing requirements.
  14. I'm disgusted by what "our" state government just did to us, without our permission, without asking our opinion.
  15. Hmmm... "Twins Sportfishing" has a nice ring to it. "Ride the twins if you have a pair!" - I can see the t-shirts now.
  16. So will your turkey shotgun be considered an assault rifle because it has a pistol grip? I hope Cuomo gets a landslide LOSS of votes for anything he runs for in future - it's just a chest-thumping power play from a guy desperate to do better than his daddy...
  17. I searched the images and they've been making the rounds since early 2008. Couple references to it being a tame deer that approached fisherman on the south fork of the Snake River but no real verification of the details.
  18. I'll take them - sending you pm.
  19. Congratulations, Tom.
  20. Nice job, Rick. The old "Secret Chum" technique works every time...
  21. Alabama's pretty different - I'll give you that.
