  1. Luckily drool washes right off those pretty aluminum plates...
  2. http://ocsdata.ncd.noaa.gov/BookletChart/14815_BookletChart.pdf It's considered navigable for about 5.5 miles above the mouth (down to around the zoo) but I've only rarely seen anything other than a canoe or kayak go that far. Most don't go past Turning Point Park.
  3. You're an interesting guy, Ray. I've only finished one off with a knife and it was disturbing. Now I carry a single arrow with an old Muzzy on it to use if a short-range kill shot is necessary.

  5. That's a pig, all right. Nice fish.
  6. Nice to know there's still a few to be caught. We haven't put the boat up yet either - hope to make it out again soon.
  7. Dick's has their own set of business rules. Don't know if it's still true but they also wouldn't sell 9mm ammo unless you could show one on your pistol permit (I can) - AFTER it started being used as a rifle/carbine round. They can have their own restrictions as long as they don't violate local, state or federal regs.
  8. I'm sorry to hear that. I have a pair of old downrigger poles that used to belong to him and I hoped to meet him and add some spoons.
  9. Talk to Ray K. He's your man...
  10. That boat wouldn't come with a bridge, would it?
  11. Honeoye - should be there from mid-morning until dark. Good luck.
  12. Question comes up a lot. Use the search function to see the old topics...
  13. That one is a Dutch guy with a monster pike caught a few years ago. Photo shows up as "local" every season. Joe - any more info on this one? I don't find any record of it online (report, photo, news article...).
  14. That's quite the suit - gonna have to save that bookmark...
  15. I'm undecided, Rob. Any excuse to spend more time in the woods is a good one but it was only a couple years ago they moved the opener to a Saturday so more hunters could get out. I can take a day off pretty much whenever I want but the friends I hunt with can't. I'll be out by myself Monday but it's not as much fun without my buddies, ya know?
  16. A buddy of mine just started hunting a couple years ago and he's hard to fit, standing 6'11" and weighing 300 lbs. He proudly told us when he finally found a warm hunting coat that fit and, you guessed it, showed up one morning wearing his brand new brown Carhart! We had to scrounge all the spare orange we could find...
