Noticed it at Sandy Creek with Carpedium & genEus last weekend, had to crawl up onto the dock, rather than just step up. Forever Young's back tomorrow so we'll probably try I-Bay this weekend since it's an 18ft Starcraft, doesn't draw much water.
Welcome, Devin. You'll find quite a bit of help here (as you've seen) and going with a charter is a fun and productive option as well. Billy V is highly respected and there are quite a few good choices in the Finger Lakes.
+1 - took me a while to get the hang of it.
I've also read that some like to use use a longer pole for the outside dipsy and a shorter for the inside. Haven't tried it yet but it sounds like it would help keep them separate as well.
Run the outside rigger on a three. Get it set up and then put the inside rigger out on a 1.5 setting. Repeat on the other side. Make your turns gradual so the lines don't cross...
I've stayed at Limekiln Lake off and on over the last 25 years and love it up there - but I've never fished. I'll have to bring my kayak up next time and give 4th a try.
