    Nice work. Seeing a lot of reported breakoffs the last week or so - broken hooks, bit off leaders, missing swivels. I hope that means a school of sharks is out there randomly shredding tackle and waiting for me to get back on the water

    http://www.atommiktrollingflies.com/ttw.htm Lots of boats out there using these. We still just have 10 and 12lb round ball weights but the blowback has been insane. Maybe next year - after we add down speed & temp.

    I spend most of my time in an 18 ft Starcraft. I need to spring for a good self-inflatable vest - and wear it.

Handheld is ok as a backup but vhf is line-of-sight; you really need that 5 - 8ft antenna to get any kind of range. They're not expensive new but pop up used often too.

    Who's laughing NOW? Keep trying to get my wife out trolling on Lake Ontario - figure if she catches a king, she'll stop complaining about being a fishing widow. Getting up at 4am is the hard sell...
