  1. Tell your buddy a gar stole his mustache
  2. You were out there. Nice fishing.
  3. Nice - THAT's what I want to see out of Sandy! My goal is to just get a king on the board this year, however briefly.
  4. How 'bout now?
  5. Tight lines. I'll be at my buddy's son's baseball game - might make it out Sunday.
  6. Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name: Forever Young ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s):6-28-12 Time on Water:5pm to 8:30pm Weather/Temp: hot Wind Speed/Direction: 8mph NE Waves: 1-2 Surface Temp: 73.6 down to 69.6 Location: north of Irondequoit Bay LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: 2 Total Boated: 2 Species Breakdown: laker and king Hot Lure: green & silver laker taker spoon, green/white Pro-Troll flasher w greenish fly Trolling Speed: 2.6 Down Speed: unknown Boat Depth: 100 to 210 Lure Depth: rigger laker spoon 175 over 185, dipsy ff out 210 on 3 setting. ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ==================== We headed north at 5pm to 100 fow (good marks at 90 though), trolled NE to 200 and swung back around to W/NW. The captain wanted to target lakers so we ran dipseys with flashers & flies at 210 and 270, 2 riggers running laker taker spoons deep (I traced the bottom with mine) and one orange-ish DW down the chute on a small dipsey set at 0, down about 30. We marked very little other than at 90 fow. I picked a 15lb laker off the bottom (30 ft off the ball, down 175 over 185) that took 20 minutes to land and we found the king dragging on the 210 dipsy, leader wrapped around the arm so it didn't trip. Flies ate the two wearing shorts and the fleas were pretty bad. We haven't added 30lb Big Game yet, didn't clear lines regularly and paid for it.
  7. He won't be getting any sleep. Might as well get some fishing in between shifts...
  8. Reeled in a laker last night 175 down and 30 back - the fleas were horrible off I-Bay. Sticking the pole tip under water and flicking up cleared them just enough to go back to reeling for a while. Had to stop half a dozen times over twenty minutes to clear the line - pig just did NOT want to come in easy.
  9. Did you find it? Finders Keepers posted off Sodus "We had slid out to 140 fow at this time so we checked for temp: 50 degrees down 130."
  10. Gonna have to try those one day...
  11. Saw the same report from Finders Keepers off Sodus. Riggers with 165 feet of cable out running so far back the weights were tracking at 115 feet
  12. Sounds like the flashers are doing their job though, drawing fish into your spread. I don't know what depth you're fishing but have you tried running everything deeper, around the bottom third of the water column? Sounds like the big guys are moving deeper and the steelhead and skippers are higher and more spread out.
  13. Okuma Convector 30D, 1000' 7-strand Torpedo wire and no backing.
  14. We also had a great night's flea fishing interrupted by a couple rude fish. I punished them both by filleting them.
  15. I wore hiking pants tonight off I-Bay & my buddies wore shorts - they got eaten alive.
  16. I've heard wonderful things - but I don't really get it....
  17. We're going to try to copy you tonight. Figure with a couple days on wind it's anybody's guess but we're going to set up around 120, head NE and look for bait. No downtemp so we'll fish the bottom third, running 2 cheated riggers, two wire dipsies, some divers off the boards and I may play with the torpedo divers. Better than working
  18. We use this one - it's hhhhuge: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Coleman-Xtrem ... ductDetail
  19. Almost impossible to find now. Supposed to be releasing an iphone app version but haven't seen it's released yet.
  20. No apology needed - I'm not a moderator. I just thought it was strange since the same group of people see both questions and you already got a round of replies.
