  1. The goldfish type don't seem to be an issue. The ones currently in the news are silver carp (the jumpers) and bighead carp (that destroy vegetation).
  2. We added a plate under the gunwale and bolted through it. Get much less flex now.
  3. See them all the time in the larger tribs. Goldfish are just a domestic carp breed but there's a breeding population.
  4. I saw one member posted a link to it and said he like how it performed.
  5. I have a pair of old 209s on backup rigger rods and like them. They'll outlive me.
  6. I have a couple of his old rods and reels, actually. Search "Poonie" and you'll see some people have commented that they like his spoons. The Eppinger Evil Eye spoons have been around forever and have a similar bead design.
  7. These are just the individual vinyl letters. Holding up well so far.
  8. My dad and I used to do the same in about 20 fow off Shipbuilder's Creek in Webster. Search for the smallmouth thread from last year - similar info.
  9. Comparing the capacity of the 30D to the 45D, it looks like you'll need about 100 yards of 30lb mono or about 130 yards of 50lb Power Pro braid.
  10. Thanks. No pigtail on mine yet but I'll keep an eye on it.
  11. Cool - never knew a perch would hit one.
  12. They're mostly used for targeting lakers or coho so you run them behind smaller dodgers, flashers, cowbells, etc... I personally haven't used them yet since we're rigged for either browns or kings. Any of the trolling fly companies carry these - A-tom-mik, ITO, Big Weenie, Howie... With a single hook, I think it would just be considered steelhead trolling fly, not a peanut. Could be wrong, I've done more studying than fishing at this point but I'm working on that.
  13. It's only 90. It's the humidity - which is why I've got two fans at my desk and stay indoors. Fat and lazy!
